Are We Desperate to be Miserable?

Not sure you’d get far if they took you to court for stealing though. It might get the assistant sacked though if you used him as an example.

I recognise that it’s small fry and unlikely to happen, but it’s still theft.

Would you do it if you had a small child with you?
Fill the little uns pockets with sweets by the sound of it:-)

You're happier now you don't have to work?

In other news lottery winner says fuck me that's put a smile on my face.

Although I did used to enjoy my job, there was definitely a culture of finding something to whinge about.
At least in retirement I can do what I like when I like, and if I'm feeling a bit down, I can meet up with a mate for a pint, or go for a walk, run or swim to improve my mood.

I blame the media.

Wasn’t long ago they were banging on about no food on the shelves and stock not being available, people got very worried and then it lasted about a whole week.

Not saying this energy crisis won’t be bad this winter, I think it will, I just think the media over plays stuff.

When I was a lad we didn’t have central heating, it was fucking horrible in the morning in December and January but that was just life.

Generally life is good in this country, there’s not a mass exodus of moaning cunts moving elsewhere is there?

Most of Off Topic seems to be doom and gloom. Posters seem to revel in being miserable. Why ?
I am in Noth Wales on the coast, a young woman took over a failing beachfront cafe. She did it up and now one part is a cafe the other for exercise classes. She employs at least 10 people. The beer she sells is brewed locally employing ?
A Pizza van, complete with wood fired oven comes twice a week. It employs 6 people. (It goes elsewhere on other days)
The village pub was closed, the locals re opened it, it brings work to 10 people at least. Again the beer is brewed locally including 4 barrels from a bloke 2 doors away who has set up his own micro brewery. As a community project they are now growing their own hops to use in his beer and he wants to expand.
Everything about this place is vibrant with a will to succeed but at the same time be friendly, local and helpful to others.
No one here seems to moan about how shit life is, how its unfair, nobody understands etc etc.
So, can everybody stop being so miserable, please.

So because Blue mist is having a lovely week at his caravan in Rhyl everybody should be grateful for what they've got and not be worried about potentially freezing and starving to death over the coming months?

Sounds like a party political broadcast from his favourite people... :-)
