Are we getting more popular at home?

We were massively outnumbered when I was at school, and I only left three years ago. Eight or ten to one i reckon. The 2011 semi final win could not have been a sweeter way to sign off the last derby at school.

Down here in the Midlands I can't say I've seen any more City kits knocking about. However, I can say that there's definitely less Rag shirts around.

Also, I don't tend to hear a peep from 'massive' Rag fans who for years previously never shit the fuck up with their gloating :-)

The way City play is important in this you know. Banging in goals for fun grabs the attention of the kids. We did lose an entire generation of potentials.

In my primary school you could count the City fans in my year on one hand, my little brother goes the same one and there is much more about now. Maybe just a coincidence.

Im 15 and I have not found another blue in a school of 1200. Some of the year 7/8's might be but non in year 9 10 11. And I live 45 mins from manchester

I work in Wilmslow and the locals are mostly rags or dippers, tho it used to be a big blue area, sure at least one of our parades in 60's/70's started there.

There are 2nd or 3rd generation mancs in places like Macc where there are blues but when my mum lived in middlewich all I ever saw were rags or dippers.

So those 45 mins can be a big distance depending in which direction, although judging by the increase in Chelsea shirts I've seen over last 10 years I wouldn't be surprised to see City shirts everywhere soon and must surely be a good thing, but why do I think "gloryhunter" when I see a Chelsea shirt in Cheshire

**not that I'd ever think that of a blue, especially anyone who'se been on our journey

School and work were both heavily U****d. Grew up in Middleton in the 1990's and worked in town until 2005. There's an entire generation have arguably grown up without the experience of watching football in front of you as opposed to the TV in the pub and we need to attract them to replace us as we die off.

Something I have noticed is when I go past an u7 sunday league training session there are always 4 or 5 city shirts.

Middleton I would say is 50/50 but when it comes to going to the actual games 80/20 in city favour.
