Are we getting more popular at home?

Live in Glasgow been a blue for 30 years. Up here you now see a lot more young kids wearing City tops which was unheard of years ago. Though still rare to find a sport shops that sells them up here ! All Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal strips in the shops.
Was in the pub the other night watching the Everton game and you could hear the groan every time City scored. A lot of people up here like the red Dippers. Got a few strange looks every time I celebrated a goal punching the air in delight.

Did a Car Boot today on Bowl Lee (Middleton)

Hate doing these but we needed to get rid of alot of junk.

Anyway, kept me entertained clocking who I noticed wearing Colours and I noticed 2 Rags, 4 Liverpool but I counted 11 people wearing City gear.

Not everyone who supports a team wears colours but a few years back doing the same thing I would of noticed loads of Rags all day.

I'm a Midlands Blue (19) and have always supported City (have had a season ticket for about 12 years now). Obviously, growing up where I did, seeing City shirts were at a premium, with the exception of my dad and granddad who are both Mancs.

Last few years I've seen a few more. At first it was surprising, but now it annoys me. You know there's not a hint of passion in those shirt wearing fakers. I know glory fans are a natural part of a club growing, but its the part I hate the most.

Girlfriend lives in Warwick and next door neighbours are Ethiopian. Father supports united, naturally, but his 9 year old son "supports" City. Next season I shall make it my business to get him to a game.

I'm sorry mate but that's a bit precious. How do you know they don't think the same when they see you? I've met many City fans over the years who come from the Midlands area who are as passionate as Manchester based City fans. Hell I even had a Brummie Blue in the que all night next to me for tickets for the Old Trafford FA Cup Game back in 1996. That can hardly constitute a glory fan can it.

Middleton I would say is 50/50 but when it comes to going to the actual games 80/20 in city favour.

Yeah that's about right, tho as far as the kids are concerned it's more like 60/40 for the blues...

Don't get me wrong - I have met a number of City fans recently, for example a bloke who comes into the pub where I work and he's supported the club all his life, and is clearly a passionate fan. I also have a friend from primary school who has always supported City. All from the Midlands - all top fans.

But once every so often you meet a couple of them and... you just know. Haha

Somewhere fucking boring by the sounds of it, seeing as theyve had the time to ask all 1200 pupils who they support!
