Are we going to win the league?

Although I am firmly in the, 'the league has gone' camp especially with Van Persie playing as well as he is, that point yesterday was VITAL to keep our hopes alive.

Realistically being 10 points behind is far worse than the difference between 7 and 9 points. We still need them to lose 3 games, one of which is against us.

It goes without saying we can not afford to keep drawing games and if we dont win the league this year the draws will (obviously, I know) be the reason.

We need to win every game - that has to be the target now - one game at a time. The Ivorians should be back for next week
Having said that we have gone backwards as a team - that is unacceptable frankly considering the possition we were in. We had our foot on the throats of our rivals and we allowed them back in

Still got a feeling that united are going to blow up............

Starting next week against Everton.

Everyone needs to calm down a bit. Lots of football still to be played. They have there start as they did last aseason. Not forgetting there is still a derby at there place.

I just looked at their fixtures, im not sure where they will drop points. Chelsea, Arsenal and us maybe? We should get the out of out minds and just focus on improving, i think somebody is due a pasting

Also, on the fixtures on their website they have the champions league final on there...confident are they?

As someone has pointed out, teams do not continue improving in a linear way season on season. There are ups and downs. Not even the Arsenal team of Viera and Henry won back to back titles.

United have been in the top 3 every premier league season. We have done that twice.

Everton home,Chelsea home,City home,Arsenal away-these are the games I can potentially see the rags dropping points.

And if they don't?? We let them have their moment-We hopefully win the cup and we move on. In summer we make 2-3 stellar signings, tidy the squad up and start again.

People-It really isn't the end of the world-It's football

United have been in the top 3 every premier league season. We have done that twice.

After Man United won the league in 1993 for the first time in nearly 30 years, they won it the following year by 8 points, and also made it a double with the FA Cup.

After Chelsea won the league in 2004 for the first time in 50 years, they went on to win it the following season by 8 points.

United will drop points, but then we'll drop points to. I think it's over, they play shit and win, we play shit and draw. Everton away and Swansea away are gonna be defeats, we could get a point at United but by then it could be to late.

I'm more concerned about Mancini's job, i generally think he deserves at least another year, the Mancini out brigade can just do one. Hopefully their a minority.

I'm still optimistic that we'll run them close for the league. The way they've played this season they certainly don't deserve to win it by 9 points, and there's got to be a few games when they have a little dip (perhaps starting against Everton this weekend?).

I'm so sick of hearing Mourinho mentioned on here every time we don't pick up all 3 points. We have a great manager and I for one take great satisfaction in having a bit of stability at the club.
