The reason I think it’s a good idea is actually for sports psychology reasons.

It’s like that quote from Catch Me If You Can.

“You know why the Yankees always win, Frank?”
“'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?”
“No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.”

Anything that adds to a sense of imposition and authority, even though this is fractional, is a good thing. There’s a reason the stars became popular in the first place.

That said as Forest are the only other Premier League team that does it, I think it should be something for European games only. There’s precedent for that, United did it and Liverpool have done it twice.

Which is why we shouldn't do it as that is exactly what they'll say. Anyway, unless it is a standard thing (like the world cup stars) we should just let our achievements speak for themselves. They know we've done it, no need to be small time about it.
