Once you accept that the "club" could not give the slightest shit about the fans, its decisions begin to make sense.
Sorry the standard of football is irrelevant. There is no justification to put up the prices one penny. Football is drowning in money.if you don't agree with the ticket prices don't fucking buy a ticket its fucking simple , weve just witnessed the best team weve ever seen and people will find something to whinge about
as for protesting ticket increases by 3% fuck off.
This whole thread comes across as synthetic rage. This would no doubt have been posted even if the prices had gone up by 1% or even if they had been frozen.
You don’t work for HMG! I’ve had 1 pay rise in 10 years and that amounted to the grand total of 1.5%. Meanwhile my seasoncard has gone up in price 9 times in the same period!
I started watching City at the tail end of the Les McDowall era. Turgid is not the expression I would use. Chaotic, unpredictable. at times exciting, and at other times dire, but never turgid. It is all about perspective. I was a child in the 50’s for my first games and started seriously following them in the early 60’s, sneaking in when they opened the gates 20 minutes before the end. I was there for Les McDowell’s last game in charge, turgid stuff.
If you look at the pricing plan, you can see that the back half of South level 3 is £310. That must be around 3,000 seats. No! If the prices had been frozen, I certainly wouldn't have complained. That is the truth. I certainly didn't expect a price reduction either.
Even though there are cheaper season tickets, I'm happy to pay more for where I stand, as it is in the singing section.
And when the £299 season tickets were introduced by the club, I never complained once, even though other City fans pay 50% less than I do for a season ticket. 2 of my mates do.
It was a great move and gesture by the club. Hopefully, if and when the NS is expanded, the club will offer 1000's of £299 season tickets, instead of 100's currently.
