Are You Doing Anything To Protest About The Latest Season Ticket Price Increase?

Last game of season squad - May 2007 before Frank took over and things started to take a turn for the better.

Isaksson, Onuoha, Dunne, Distin (Hamann 28), Jordan, Vassell, Jihai, Johnson, Ireland, Beasley (Samaras 81), Mpenza. Subs Not Used: Weaver, Dickov, Laird.

No disrespect but would any of that 16 get into the current squad ? If your answer is 'no' then how do you expect the current squad of mercurial artists to be paid for ?

I'd have Distin !!

Correction, City are 5th, not 4th.

Make yourself a brew, take sometime out, and have a good read.

You made the comment

“That's as good as it will get.”

My point was that 10 years ago you didn’t believe we’d be the best team in England so why assume we’ll never be the best or richest in Europe. We’re on a journey & the destination is pre determined

You misunderstand? Or did I not explain myself properly? Probably the latter. Apologies.

I meant climbing the money table.

TBH we might eventually catch Bayern Munich, but I think the new TV deal isn't as lucrative as the current one. Think we have reached peak TV deal?

We'll really have to go some to catch the top 3. United are out on their own. And Real and Barca have a monopoly on Spanish TV money. And no challengers in La Liga. They will always do well in the CL as well. As I pointed out, a host of PL clubs are expaning their stadiums, which will be bigger than ours, and will bring in more matchday revenue. Especially the London clubs. But can they match City off the pitch with similar or better sponsorship deals?

Did I? Didn't I? Did anyone?

I knew something serious and special was brewing. I always laughed at United fans. "It won't last." "Sheikh Mansour will get bored." Blah, blah, blah. OK. ;-)

As soon as Soriano arrived, along with Tixi, or however his name is spelt, we all knew Pep was coming. Barcelona transfered to Beswick. :-)

Regardless if it lasts or not, I've had a brilliant 11 years like every City fan. Hopefully I will continue to have those brilliant years until I draw my last blue breath. :-(

PS. The CL trophy would be nice. I'm not greedy. Retaining the PL title will do next season for starters.

Can’t see it you really think they would scrap the “bargain” season tickets? They will jus teleport going up every year by tenner and that be still cheap.
If they thought that enough people would pay £540 then they'd do it. Why wouldn't they? The only thing stopping them is that there is effectively no waiting list anymore. My understanding is that most of the 8,000 supposedly on that list didn't want full price tickets and only wanted the Value ones.

If there were 10,000 people on the waiting list and every season ticket on the market was being snapped up regardless of price then simple economics tells you that they'd get rid of the vast majority of those cheap tickets. That's what the Glazers did at the swamp. Put prices up until they struggled to sell the last few tickets at which point they new supply and demand were evenly matched.
