Are you missing home games or are you not too mithered?

Gonna be honest, once I got out of the habit of automatically going to every home game (only missed 1 home game since 1986) I wasn't that mythered about going back and didn't even bother with the Everton ballot.
Once I got back last week in Porto though, I realised again how much I loved actually being there. I'll be renewing on Tuesday.
I’m similar to you, was fairly ambivalent about returning but absolutely loved Porto, made me realise how much I’ve missed the whole thing - because it’s not just about the football, it never has been. I just cannot wait to get back to the match. Football, mates, enjoying a pre match beer with my dad, what’s not to like?

Like many adjusted to watching every game from the comfort of my living room, and I’ve been lucky enough to be at all of our 3 games, where fans were allowed. Within 5 minutes of setting foot in Wembley for the Carabao final I realised what I’d been missing, likewise Sergio‘s first against Everton I celebrated like it was a last minute winner ( probably wouldn’t have done that at home). Porto last week reminded me it’s not just about the game ( although who wouldn’t enjoy watching City) it’s about the friends you meet up with and share that common experience.

if your life and financial situation ( I’d love City to make it affordable for all) allows it - nothing beats being at the game. Me - I’m counting down the days already to the new season - I’ll never take being at the Etihad for granted again

I’ve been lucky enough to go to games in the middle of the season against Liverpool and United plus David Silvas last game against Norwich. They were awful to be at and I much preferred watching the rest of the season on TV at home with my dad. However the Everton game was brilliant even though it was a reduced capacity the buzz in the stadium especially with the goals and in particular Agueros was fantastic and brought a tear to my eye. I can’t wait for full crowds to be back you cannot beat when this team is on form and the crowd are excited, I think the one problem if you don’t go is missing lots of games as tv I assume will as soon as they can stop showing all the games. It will be interesting to see at what point they do this, will it have to be full capacity because lots of people are now reliant on tv for watching all the games, I’m hoping the broadcasters keep showing them but I doubt it.

Don’t think I’d ever jump through so many hoops than I did to get to Porto and back again, loved every minute, except that fukin team selection and the result
But going back to the Etihad, being made to feel like a disposable commodity, the whole match day experience ends the minute I will have to present my yet to be purchased fancy telephone, queuing for a shit overpriced top up its only the mates I go with and the lads I’ve met in L3 South Stand that keep me open to returning. Plus wrestling with 56 years of never even thinking about not going to a game… something just doesn’t feel right anymore.Having typed all that… get rid of the right player (s) and bring in who I consider the right buys who we all know are going to be available, and I’ll be in Curry’s or Tesco or wherever you buy these god dam confounding gadgets in a heart beat

Ive missed going of course but got into the routine of the ‘new norm’ of watching at home and the odd games towards the end in the pub

i dont really feel like ill be running back until its back to as normal as possible.
I wont want to go if i have to be there an hour before ko (sometimes i drive and take my time, sometimes i have a good few before and miss 5 mins) or if the bars are closed etc

it ceased to be just about the footy years ago and is now just as much about the social side

I am in two minds. Yes, I miss being there. Miss meeting mates etc.
However, faffing about with mobile tickets, potential of having to turn up earlier etc, and the sheer cost is weighing against it for me.
Maybe take the year out to see how it goes.

Me and my lads too Michael. Can’t wait to get back.

Brilliant mate. Been too long hasn’t it
I've just had a thought. It happens and I have to live with it!! ;-)
Why don't we get the club to make some robot players, well the real players are either preparing for the Euros or having a rest, and let us in to watch them play. Just to ease us back in gently? It would be ace. We'd be able to reassure ourselves that the seats are still ok, I could have a meat and potato pie and a lemonade and we could sit and reflect on how good it is going to be when we finally get back.

It's the waiting that's killing me!! I want to get back.

I can't understand how the club can justify raising SC's by about 5% in light of a worldwide pandemic when many have lost their jobs.

Sorry City but you cannot keep taking the piss out of us year on year.

I'm not renewing due to being priced out, enough is enough.
