Are You Officially Priced Out Yet, Or Almost?

Well said SHB and D19. Breathtaking ignorance/arrogance from this Kiam bloke. How the hell can he know about individual blues' financial situation? Try putting your brain in gear next time before you post Kiam.

I believe Kiam meant some people will HAVE to make choices to save money. My lad has let his S/T go for the first time since 1994.
He's nearly 28 and not had a holiday for 2 years so has said 'Fook it. I can't afford both. I'm taking er indoors on holiday'
They call it life's choices. We can't all afford a top of the range motor. Some can, some can't.
Why should football be any different?

because football should be for everyone, we have a working class fan base in the main, a lot of which are on average incomes. surely there comes a point where we say enough is enough, or should we just accept ticket prices going up every year, pricing loads a loyal long standing fans out. besides ticket prices are going up way above inflation.

Bayern munichs president

'We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300. We'd get £2m more in income but what's £2m to us?
'In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between £104 and £300 is huge for the fan.
'We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody.

Would that be the ex Bayern Munich President you are quoting as he's currently doing 3 and a half for tax evasion.

A lot on here are having to make painful choices. It wasn't up to him to judge what fellow blues should or shouldn't be able to do. We're going to be losing a lot of our core support the way things are going, which is a real shame. It doesn't seem to be a problem for Kiam at the moment. Fine. I envy him. But he shouldn't be going about passing comment on what fans should be able to save, when he hasn't got a clue about individual circumstances.

Correct. Hopefully realisation has now hit.

Maybe the survey should also ask if we smoke. average of £7 for a pack of 20, say 60 fags a week, £1,092 a year. Also if City could be your domestic fuel supplier what would prompt you to use them?

I really don't understand what smoking has to do with ticket prices. If they are overpriced they are overpriced no matter if you smoke or not, and regardless of how much you spend on things other than tickets.

I think his point is if you can afford to smoke then you can afford to stop smoking.
This would give plenty money to attend games. I can't understand why anyone smokes now

It might not be up to Kiam, me or anyone else on here to tell people they should make painful choices but reading all the previous posts, it's quite obvious more than a few people HAVE to make the choice.
City or something else.
Simple as.
That's the real world.
Sorry if it upsets some on here.

Of course football SHOULD be different. That's the whole point.
Ok, it isn't, but it bloody well should be.
Lots of people have to make lifes choices forced by other peoples greed.
Your argument may be economically factual, but is morally bankrupt.

I agree the club has a responsibility to monitor prices but fans also have a responsibility to arrange their finances in a way that they can afford things in life. If you want a ticket you'll get one saving money isn't difficult if you really want to.

Well said, Kiam. You might want to put a tin hat on though.

It's not well said at all CHB.
Kiam is obviously still very young and has no responsibilities...family,kids etc.
Saving money is actually quite hard to do. I don't need to (65k coming in my house) but his lack of understanding twds other peoples finances is simply shite!
Ask yourself do you buy takeaway food? Alcohol? Do you take sandwiches to work on the cheap rather than spending large amounts on shop bought food?

I understand people have family commitments but the people who plead poverty are usually the ones who want to have their cake and eat it.

Either save and go or keep eating and buying crap and don't go simple.

Fine. When the ground is full of the type of fan that inhabits OT these days, I'm sure the club will be happy. Lots and lots of rich fans to make even more money from. So be it.

Unbelievable.
Seriously, can you really not see how ignorant, nieve, judgemental and plain stupid your simplistic comments really are?
