Are You Officially Priced Out Yet, Or Almost?

Like many others on this thread I've fcuked off the champions league games from my cup scheme membership. I've got Sky Sports so I might as well watch it on there.

Is much as it cripples me as I cant get to all the home games yet still get charged I cant give it up due to getting priority for the away tickets

to me its not city at fault, its the game overall. its gone mad.

Are City not responsible for their own decisions? That's quite an insult to the business acumen of the people who run the club - suggesting that they are railroaded on an issue as basic as stadium pricing. It makes you wonder why they bother employing people whose job is specifically to decide such matters when, as you put it, there is little they can do about it.

city are not responsible for the pricing, the wages for players, the greed of agents and the con that is ffp all play a part in the decisions made on pricing.
to be fair our owners expect a decent return on their investment and rightly so. they have given us players we could have only dreamt about only a few years ago.

come on Bill,we all know that the FFP argument holds no water with ticket pricing.
If they fucked someone like Scott Sinclair off and his wages then there would be no requirement to up ticket prices as they have.
I agree with the return on investment, but to bleed a lot of fans who cannot afford matchday pricing is wrong.

yep, im priced out. done.

I'll never say never again but watching City live will be restricted to early cup rounds (maybe) and the odd league match i save up for. Sad really as i used to go to many matches from about 96 to 2008 when we werent so good but i guess my support (at the ground) is not needed anymore!

every penny coming in or out of our club has a bearing on ffp.

we are under attack and our owners have to respond.

So what happens next year if we are clear of FFP restrictions and they up the prices again?
I have pulled out of the CL cup scheme purely and simply as a result of the pricing that it is going to be. Can't see any change from £50 for each game in the group stage. Me doing that of course actually stops money going into the club so it's a double edged sword, however I fucking hate being surrounded by people with ipads taking photos of each other etc. Sorry but that isn't football for me.
Of course that **** Platini has a lot to answer for but the ticket pricing for individual games as City is wrong.
We are apparently the 2nd poorest set of fans in the league when it comes to disposable income. I am fortunate as regards income levels but my Mrs was shocked when I told her I had reached my first tipping point and would not be in the European cup schemes this year. Of course I may still attend but have the choice now.

I've just had a letter through the door begging for my business from a local club - Bury FC.

Price for a ST for the season for me is £250
And if I did have a kid under 5 they would get in for free.

As much as it pains me saying this, if pricing continues I will reluctantly consider getting a ST at Gigg Lane.

I'll just type your reply to save you some time: "well if you wanna support Bury then Fuck off to Gigg Lane you Rag bastard, you'll easily be replaced by some JCL"

There is no desire for this, no Passion/joy when I've been down watching Bury FC, but I love football and football comes first... I would watch a pub match on my local park.

I'm at City because my Grandfather was at City, his daughter went to city, and other family went to city.
And I sing my heart out for the blues.

If I'm priced out then where will I get my live football fix?
On Sky Sports? Hahahaha I'm not an armchair fan just yet.

The whole system is fucked and more is needed in terms of protest at downing street to get those Tory cunts to bring in something that would restrict exploitation of football supporters .

Yes I am,have been for years,no wage increase, earning probably close to average Uk income, all bills go up every year, its sbout survival.I have my name on the waiting list for the cheap seats next season but can only afford the £299,if offered to me.

I'm priced out now unfortunately. Season ticket holder for years, but can't do it anymore.

I don't blame City though - it's ticket prices in football in general, and the cost of the whole day that has destroyed it. Gutted, I really am, but have a family I need to support before the club.

I will get to a few games though, as I've been promised to borrow a seasoncard mainly for the night games.
