I lived on Sherdley Road (behind the primary school, which I attended). Any time I've been back has felt like going home.

I was there from 1969 to 1972, and I remember one teacher called Miss Pollard.
Unfortunately we moved to Bury after that :-(

I'm proud of Manchester as a city, but that pride is often diminished as I walk up Market Street to Piccadilly Gardens.

If and when anyone talks about football and asks me who I support, I always reply with the same “I’m a Mancunian, I support City, of course”.

I expect to be there on Friday and believe only London could otherwise offer me the range of things I intend to do whilst I am around.

Afflecks Palace, Classic Football Shirts and the Arndale will relieve of some pay. If I need to get up to City for the new away shirt then it’s a quick tram ride too.

Liverpool is my nearest city but I rarely visit to buy things.
