Had one telling me we'd never finished above them in the Premier League era, (before our investment) at the weekend, told him to google the very first season.

Cannot believe people here feeling sorry for them, they are bitter, entitled, arrogant, dismissive wankers, almost to a man. Fuck them, I hope they become the new Liverpool, winning next to fk all for decades to come.

We'll see who is eager to talk about empty seats then, won't we? It may even start on Thursday night, now that would be funny.

Heard Arsecast claiming they were on sale to members. They can buy up to four each, seems a lot will be giving the game a swerve.
 
Was thinking of giving the Arsenal league game a swerve but then I realised I was working half an hour away so thought I'd stay over for the game.
Arranged to meet a colleague and Arsenal fan for a few beers before the game.

Got an email from him late on Sunday.
"I'm not going on Thursday, I can't put up with another day of pain and humiliation ".

'Soft southern jessie, you need to grow a fucking back bone, wait until you've had 34 years of it then have a little whinge' was my diplomatic reply.
 
If Bodgers took over at Arsenal the Tarquins would be demanding Arsene back in a heartbeat when they are in bottom 3 after 10 games.

All generalisations of any set of fans, let alone Arsenal fans, are wrong

As for seats, I'd expect quite a few empty Thursday night and mainly because of the weather

I'm in snow bound Kent and the trains are up the spout at the moment and with heavy snowfall forecast again tomorrow, I'll doubt I'll make it

I'd be inclined to share your sentiment on this but at the moment most fans want Wenger out and many calling for fans to boycott games to force the boards hand......I don't know it's pretty uncertain all round......however......

A few years ago at Maine Rd we were battered 4-0 before half time by an Arsenal side in their pomp. All city fans applauded them and sung Henry's name in appreciation that night. Could you see yourselves returning the favour tomorrow night?
