Damn. They've got a great goalscorer there. Just made our chances of winning the league cup more difficult. When Arse were looking shit and in disarray against Swansea I was thinking we had a cup in the bag, not as sure now. Shame that went through, could have done without them improving.
They'll probably line up with PEA on the left, don't see him replicating his Dortmund goalscoring form from there and in a head to head Walker will have no problem handling his pace.

Mickey and Dwayne Dibley will improve them. Wenger's still a tosser though.

The moment Arsene realised Pep was right about needing a ball playing goalkeeper..

I see the moaning one is moaning about the unfairness of it all again. God he is becoming a tedious bore
He fails to mention:-
  1. The greed of the top clubs in Europe who threatened to break away from their respective leagues hence the birth of the European (lets make loads of money) Cup.
  2. The back hander's given to parents to entice their offspring to sign for the likes of you know who.
  3. The monopoly that existed until the likes of Jack Walker played them at their own game by buying up the best players.
  4. The TV companies being complicit by showing more of the cartels games than other clubs thus throwing more money their way.
  5. The huge new stadiums built by those who were creaming off the wealth and thus the circle continued.
He is a senile old sod and I should know because I am also one.

He is now irrelevant and embarrassing himself and the club and 90 per cent of their supporters want him gone along with the board.

He has no idea how to man manage or coach anymore in the modern game.

He was past it years ago but fortunately for the other sides in the premiership he is untouchable and in any other club he would have been sacked many years ago.

Oh is it that time of year again where he spits his dummy out over money? Seems early this year.

How did Wenger's Monaco, with average crowds of 8,000, manage to compete at the higher levels of European football in the early 90's.

Signing players like Glenn Hoddle from Tottenham, Mark Hateley from AC Milan, Jurgen Klissmann and Ramon Diaz both from Inter Milan and George Weah must have helped them along the way.

I thought UEFA were planning a new round of FFP principally around capping transfer fees?

I'm not sure that would work unless you had a salary cap too because all you'd end up doing is funnelling money from fees to players' salaries.

However, it might have a positive impact on agents' fees.

But leaving all that aside, do you think it's healthy for the game in England to end up like Spain where it's usually a 2 horse race for the title?

Yet they have paid a higher fee than we ever have, they even had a 90 million bid rejected in the last window, they have a player on 350k a week, much more than any of ours, they have one of the highest paid managers in the world and they charge one of the highest ticket prices in the PL, they never once moaned when the same 4 were creaming the CL money season after season, creating a huge advantage over the rest and he has the cheek to moan about money
