Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I'm not usually one for getting precious about Sky's love affair with the red teams, but just before I muted it I heard her say 'after the break we'll discuss who benefits from this being a draw...' or similar.

Now, I wonder - just who might that be?

ha ha just heard arsenal over rans a poor city side
what game do these watch
The bog standard listen to Micah and Jamie fan will come out with that shite, tactically today we had it spot on, we are not the Harlem Globetrotters anymore and played with strength, hardly giving them a sniff even though they had most of the possession

Another shite performance, couldn’t keep the ball at all.

Why hold a high line so late on and then Donnarumma doing his Ederson impression stood in no man’s land inviting an easy lob.

Pissing away the win shows how we’ll be nowhere near in the title race. Liverpool have it boxed off already. Grim.
And yet Arsenal still couldn't beat us at home. But I agree with the performance, we went a goal up early on and are probably the best attacking team in the league so we should have played to our strengths. You're not going to win anything playing like that.

Lots of people lauding the performance but we rightly slated Arsenal for trying to play like that not that long ago and it didn't work for them either when we got the late equaliser.

Aw man, why didn’t we just drop off when Eze got the ball? We’d been dealing well with them attacking from out wide all game.

The result has written off our season, and we had the game won until Haaland got hauled off. It was just a waiting game until the next break for Haaland to score.
What the utter fuck? A draw away at Arsenal has fucked our season? Anfield, Emirates and Liverpool home are the three most difficult games we face in the season

Draw is a good result considering I think we’re still well undercooked. Arsenal are in full flow so we did well for the result. Need midfield control though. Kovacic back will help.

No idea why he took haaland off though. Crazy decision.

Ha …simply forgot about Cherki and Marmoush!!
Yes today was a game we missed either coming on to chase down and hurry their defenders and also to keep the ball in tight spaces. Savinho has a lot to do to convince me we shouldn't have taken the 55m.

Yes Donna was caught halfway out for the goal but really we should have been higher to catch him offside. If fans are being that picky on the error remember the 2 point blank saves plus it was noticeable to me that teams are suddenly reluctant to try long range shots with Donna in nets.

If you want to be ultra picky the game would have been over if the big man had squared it to Foden to tap in - but you have to have your main striker whose conversion rate is unbelievable taking on a shot...

Fuck me, is it reasonable to think that when you play a top team like Arsenal you can set up a slightly different way? The team was magnificent today and I’m not gonna criticize them at all. I was so nervous watching that and I haven’t felt like that in a long time. I felt like a real football fan again!
i felt nervous also ,cause we didnt control the game and all and watching City only defending really is nervewrecking.

No we didn't have it spot on. Had we come away with the three points you could rightly claim we got away with it, but we didn't. A goal up early on, best striker in the world and we try to defend for an hour and a half. That might suit a bottom three side but you're never going to win anything like that.
