Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

Walton described it in detail including the differences between the two instances. Rio and that other c*nt Humphries deliberately misrepresented what he said and turned it into ‘inconsistent application of VAR’. That’s now the story. Joleon sat there like a bloody statue and let them do it.
To be fair it looked as if Joleonntried to say something a couple of times but what’s is name and Humphries wouldn’t let him get a word in!
The Eddie one wasn’t a penalty and in fact their player stood on Eddie’s ankle! So it was really a foul on the goalkeeper. :-(

Astonishes me that any City fan pays a single penny to these twats.

They despise us and they no longer even attempt to hide it.
It is absolutely brilliant being hated and long may it continue. They fear us and are worried that we are turning the league into a procession. All they have to push is the race for the top 4 and the relegation battle. Not good for the product if you think it was bad today wait until we play Chelsea they will have no City representation and Jake will be bringing up the Arsenal game at every oppurtunity.

I thought it was a very tired display by City, and as a result we were extremely sloppy on the ball - probably our worst in a long time. Arsenal are getting a lot of plaudits and by all accounts they played extremely well, but I think we saw in part the effects of their additional rest days compared to our game just days ago. We didn’t deserve all 3 points today but this side has a resilience to it and they dug something out.

Even with Arsenal down to 10 men I thought we continued to let the game just pass us by. I know there’s tons of stuff going on about the decisions but in isolation I think he got each one right. The Ederson one is very tight but there’s just enough ball in there and just a little enough man. Any more man and I think it’d be given.

Arsenal proudly celebrate the " We beat Man City in the first half Trophy" in front of their ecstatic fans.

Think back a few weeks ago, liverpool injury time winner at Wolves, chelsea the same v leeds, imagine how shit that felt to us, so just imagine the effect Rodri’s late winner will have had on the dippers and chavs, watch it snd weep you cunts
A lot worse I'd expect

11 points clear. Liverpool, Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester away games all taken care of. Busiest part of the season over and done with. What a start of 2022 Blues! Some much needed rest coming our way now, we have looked tired recently but still gotten our points, fantastic. Pep and the boys have done amazingly well. Should take a lot not to lift a 4th trophy in 5 seasons, but one game at the time!
This was imo our most difficult remaining league game. Arsenal are a much imrpoved side and if they'd have kept their self-discipline they could have won that game, or taken 2 points from us.

City winning that game was a dagger to the Scouse heart.
