Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

It says something about the evolution of the team under Pep, in that the two players responsible for the winning goal were Eric and Rodri.

Both players were leading our attack without a forward anywhere in sight! Crazy, but that’s Pep for you!

Looked back at the highlights and Arsenal din't do as much as people have been going on about. They were better but the margin wasn't as its made out to be.

Par for the course on here and in the media. One of their shots on target would surely have been ruled out for offside if it had gone in rather than being saved by Eddie.

Their best effort, aside from their goal, was by Laporte. Their goal was very good from their point of view and one where I don't think City did much wrong, apart from losing the ball in the first place. Although, I'm sure Pep will find some details to go over with his team on how they could have done better.

Sky only showing the one angle with ederson incident where it looks like he took the players foot, not showing the angle where he take the ball then get stamped on.

Ederson tried to get the ball, and he did. Odegaard did not manage to reach the ball first and he accidentally stepped over Ederson's leg with some ferocity. It might be even a foul from Odegaard if we want to stretch it a bit, but point is that there was no penalty at all.
