I easily picked Sane to be benched. That was easy. However I didn't see Gundogan starting.

But I'm cool with it :)

why do people always assume players have attitude probs,the kids are inconsistant,get used to it

I never said he had an attitude problem, just that Pep might reach his personality different than others. It's hard to believe the decision is purely tactical, when KDB isn't starting, having come back the same time as Sterling.

But no matter, the lineup is still exceptional.

Maybe Pep wants to be a bit more solid in midfield.

And Kevin has played a hell of a lot of football over the summer.

I’d argue KDB is a much more solid option than Gundogan but each to their own.

Im just too happy to be worried about the minutiae of lineups. A new season, and the blues are about to kick off on primetime.

What the fuck I got to complain about? My plush new Mattress just arrived from Tufts and Needles.

I don't buy that Sane has been carrying any kind of injury. Pep is clearly unhappy with how he's returned after the summer. He started on the bench for the first two pre-season games, didn't even feature in the third and was hauled off at half time against Chelsea when there were no actual signs he was carrying a knock.

I totally trust Pep on this one. Besides, an angry Sane with a point to prove being thrown on against tiring legs for the last half hour could serve us very well.

If anything, i felt that Gundogan might have slipped behind Foden in the midfield pecking order so i'm surprised he starts ahead of Kev but Xhaka and Ramsey are notoriously bad at tracking runners from midfield and Gundogan can definitely offer a goal threat finding space with late runs into the box.

Still confident and that's an amazing bench to win the game late on.
