I’m not sure Pep works like that. Rather than knock players down a peg or two I think he uses the carrot rather than the stick. He wants players to thrive on competition rather than demean them. Just my opinion

Will be interesting to see how Bernardo and gundogan get on together rather than one or the other with Kevin or Dave.

Sane always has a slow start, pep loves sterling no matter how many fan lineups drop him to the bench before the season starts, he's obviously taking his time with debruyne as he will be playing near enough every match and Bernardo has looked excellent. Gundogan was quite good last weekend too. And stones laporte is the future, get used to it.

I think Bernado has taken a step up to Join Dave and Kev. So now any of those 3 will keep up the Standard paired with anyone else (Gundo, Foden, Delph or Mahrez).

We are now approaching rear WC territory in midfield with having 3. Albeit Bernado is just about to show out. :)

I easily picked Sane to be benched. That was easy. However I didn't see Gundogan starting.
