Whether Partey is out or not shouldn’t matter to us. We need to somehow marry the defensive solidity against Arsenal in the cup with the incisive and press beating passes against Villa.



Whether Partey plays won’t stop Odegaard, Martinelli and Saka being real threats. Besides I’m old enough to remember being excited by an FA Cup 6th round match at home to Spurs because Barmby was out. Nayim played instead and scored a hat trick. It was incredible, they literally didn't know whether they were coming or going that night. Much as I'd love it, I'll happily take 0-1 with Haaland, if he plays, scoring one off his arse in homage to the Goat.

Got to target him tonight. Not only because he’s not the best defensively, but he seems to get wound up very easily (something I didn’t notice when he was with us). We need to give him some shit and get in his ear and his head.
