I was there that night too. No offence, but where are the 4,000 Blues here?

I honestly doubt, although wish there were, 8,000 plus Blues there in the famous 'yellow kit' game. Do wish I had the yellow kit though. Would be worth a fortune!!

Found it !!I reckon 7,000 here, at least:

I was there for the 2-2 but got in late, there were a lot of blues there, maybe not 4000, but we were out of view behind the camera in the stand down the side at the clock end, I was late in because we were still queuing after kick off.

Wasn't at the other game, but we are in the right hand of the clock end, you can see the
segregation early in the highlights, it looks like a lot of blues considering it was a standing area.

Don't forget we also had some seats in the West Stand too for that 2-2 draw. Not too many but probably around 700-800 so I don't think my estimate of 4-5000 is that wide of the mark.

There were clearly a lot more than that there for the 4-0 defeat, looking at that footage. My mate remembers getting the special down and Arsenal fans being astonished at the amount of City fans in the escort to the ground. If I'm not mistaken that was Arsenal's second highest home league crowd of the 1989-90 season with only the Tottenham game drawing more fans.

I was at the 2-2, first ever visit to Highbury, the home of the Toffs
I was amazed we managed a draw with the mighty Arsenal
I'd say there were no more than 3500-4000 though

Need a banner similar to the one Ajax fans dis for us. We could have minders at each end so they cant take it down.
But people paying for the tickets at £62 are telling the football world that they are perfectly alright with being charged that much; then putting up a banner saying they aren't would be fucking stupid of them.

£62 Ticket Protest At The Emirates + Richard Scudamore......

Man City fans' ticket snub backed by Premier League boss
Comments (268)
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore has backed Manchester City fans who are boycotting Sunday's match at Arsenal because of the ticket price.

City are reported to have returned 900 tickets of their 3,000 allocation after fans baulked at the £62 admission.

"The Man City fans have done what they should do - if they think it's too much they don't turn up," Scudamore told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek.

"I'm absolutely sure that will be dealt with and we'll not see that again."

A BBC Sport study last year revealed that Arsenal had the most expensive ticket prices, with the dearest seats costing £126 and the most expensive season ticket on sale at £1,955.

The mass return of tickets by the defending Premier League champions is the highest profile instance of supporters making a protest and Scudamore admitted: "It does make people think again and that's what the market should do."

Another finding from the BBC survey was that City's cheapest season ticket cost £275, which is less than the cheapest at Conference side Newport County.

"There should be more affordable ticket prices at one end of the spectrum, and maybe the corporate seats and everything else get priced differently in order to afford that," Scudamore added.

"Every club have got to make sure their ticket pricing keeps the stadiums full, that's the overriding objective. Yesterday Fulham had children in for a pound, Sunderland have got season tickets for young people at £95, there is all sorts of stuff going on around the league."

Asked about the theory that working class fans are being priced out of the modern game he said: "I can't argue with the fact there has been a shift in the demographic of the audience.

"But at 95% occupancy, and when you look at the number of females in the grounds, something like 23% black and ethnic minorities 11%, that's up from a much smaller number 10 years ago, and when you look at the under-16s that are in the ground it's a myth the entire Premier League audience is ageing and it's white and it's male, so we must be doing something right,

"If we've lost some people I accept that but we've also picked new audiences and that's been effectively the success of the league.

"Clubs are pedalling awfully hard to make sure it's affordable [while] at the same time trying to meet Financial Fair Play rules.

"It's a difficult challenge, they have to be able to attract players on the world market. The fans are the first to say 'we want new players,' but they've also got to break even along the fair play lines and one of the very few variables they have at their disposal is ticket prices.

"It's a complex matrix no matter where you are in professional football."

According to twitter, those banners were confiscated by Emirates' stewards.
