This.

I really think (hope) we have got the ball rolling and people will take note

I think we have, too par I feel for this season but I bet we will see lower prices and more important no cat A shit next season.

I hope you'e right but I dont think anything will change. Clubs can charge what they like (they're businesses), any idea that the PL or any other body can impose some sort of cap is fanciful (restraint of trade and all that).

Unless the clubs voluntarily agree to some sort of limit (turkey's voting for Christmas springs to mind) then nowt changes

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

Only went back a couple of pages and didn't see it..

As the 912 tickets were returned from an allocation of 3000, if the tickets were sold at £43.15 would we have sold them all to make Arsenal the same amount gross as from the 2088 tickets at £62 sold? (Yes I know it probably won't work out the same profit when you factor in everything).

Yes of course we would, plus how many train tickets, hotel rooms, pints of beer, meals etc etc would have gone into the economy (Including in stadium sales) based on the back of an extra 912 people travelling

Arsenal are not bothered if they are able to sell them onto to 'extra' home fans who will still contribute to their coffers

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

Everything you need to know about this club and its tarquins comes from this quote, posted of course by John Cross the Gooner who is defending Arsenal in the Mirror and actually turns it into an attack on us in parts.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ticket-prices-are-getting-out-of-hand-1527715" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... nd-1527715</a>

But Paul Matz, of the Arsenal Independent Supporters' Association, said: "It's not the first time that City have not sold their full allocation, and previously City were not a category A club, so ticket prices were only half the cost.

"City have got where they are by importing a sugar daddy, rather than through their own efforts, mirroring what happened at Chelsea a few years ago, so it's bound to take a while before the level of their fan base catches up."

What an absolute fucking patronising twat, pardon my French. He knows full well we have a big away fanbase and that us not selling out here has NOTHING to do with numbers as proven last year in the League Cup when we took over 5,000... which he and Cross both conveniently leave out.

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

Need a banner similar to the one Ajax fans dis for us. We could have minders at each end so they cant take it down.

I don't think Cross's article itself is too bad but that bloke from the Arsenal Independent Supporters Asscociation is talking out of his, pardon the pun, arse.

For as long as I can remember, we've always taken a big following to Arsenal away going back to my first visit there in April 1991 for a 2-2 draw on a Wednesday night in their title-winning season when we must've had at least 4,000-5,000 there. A mate of mine went the season before for that 4-0 defeat in the yellow kit and he reckons we had close to double that number in the ground. The only time we had a small following at Arsenal was for a Monday night match in 1992 when they were renovating the North Bank and ground capacity was limited to about 20,000 so they gave us about 900 tickets in the corner of the Clock End but that was most certainly an exception rather than the rule with regards to our numbers there yet funnily enough, while we often sold out for our games down there Arsenal never seemed to sell out their allocation at Maine Road whereas Tottenham did.

I was there that night too. No offence, but where are the 4,000 Blues here?

I honestly doubt, although wish there were, 8,000 plus Blues there in the famous 'yellow kit' game. Do wish I had the yellow kit though. Would be worth a fortune!!

Found it !!I reckon 7,000 here, at least:

I was there for the 2-2 but got in late, there were a lot of blues there, maybe not 4000, but we were out of view behind the camera in the stand down the side at the clock end, I was late in because we were still queuing after kick off.

Wasn't at the other game, but we are in the right hand of the clock end, you can see the segregation early in the highlights, it looks like a lot of blues considering it was a standing area.
