Unfortunately, with wages/transfer fees only getting higher, fans will have to pay.

No excuse, Bayern Munich make loads of money without ripping off regular fans. The money comes from corporates, hospitality, and commercial deals It's greed, plain and simple, and Arsenal are the worst offenders for it followed by Spurs and Chelsea in that order.

You can hardly compare us and Spurs to Bayern in terms of commercial deals, we'll always lag behind there due to success. Our commercial deals are poor, we signed lengthy contracts when we built our stadium because at the time, it made sense but times have changed. Cat C and Cat B prices at Arsenal are affordable, Cat A, however is a disgrace. Arsenal away fans also have to pay craploads to watch us at places such as QPR and Norwich. Even City away is pricey. All clubs are doing it, we're one of the worst culprits because there is such high demand for our tickets. As I said, games always sell out, club won't alter their approach as that continues to go on.

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

i liked what ajax fan;s done as a protest when we played them - they had a huge banner that said something like '62 euros to watch football in the away end is a disgrace'.
i dont think the banner was an attempt at standing side by side with us city fans but more a warning to dutch football authorities - stop taking the piss!

just an idea - why not a joint city / arsenal banner on the day saying something similar ('£62 to watch a game is pricing real fans out').

could enlist some support from the FSF

Im going by the way, but very soon want be able to afford it.

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

ill def be giving this one a miss, not gonna pay £62

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

yep its bang out of order, but I am going I want to see the Emirates and we are planning to make a weekend of it. £57 for our train and hotel £62 for the game sort of tells you all you need to know.

I'll take this for what it is - a sly dig at city for our so called inflating transfer fees.

You are hardly spending all this extra revenue on buy players are you?

Ticket prices are a disgrace - you lot are the worst offenders

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

boycott the game...........cheeky horrible gooners..........had enough...picking and choosing my games from now on,newcastle didnt sell out....the start of things to come....vote with your feet.........fuck em...con men....

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

What about FFP for the fans.
£62 for us to watch our team
£29 for Southampton fans
Its not decided on how good the team is its all about how much they can squeeze out of the fans. Now we have more people that want to watch us, they know they can take the piss and sell out.

Every ticket should be around the £35 mark.

Re: Arsenal AWAY Ticket Details.

I feel sorry for the genuine Arsenal fans who have been priced out. The fan base at the Emirates is unrecognisable from their support in the 70s and 80s. Despite being justifiably branded the library in recent years the atmosphere at Highbury was great in the 70s. I remember being there in a 60,000 crowd for a League Cup match when Pat Jennings saved them. There were only a few hundred City fans in the Clock End but the crowd was incredibly noisy. I hope that City, because of ADUG's commitment to our local community, do not go down the same route as Arsenal. City's fan base is changing but hopefully we can keep our roots. The Arsenal board are a total disgrace and have been ripping off their fans for years. We had the same situation under Swales during the time we were getting crowds of 40,000 but only declaring 30,000. Remember the Bournemouth match. What a joke! I would support an organised boycott backed by other clubs' fans. The one we did at Wigan worked well on a small scale.
