Arsenal away tickets

Sorry Tim, I disagree. Season Tickets have gone up well over the rate of inflation for over a decade all apart from one year. It feels like a deliberate policy to price people out and make more seats available for fans willing to pay £70 a match.

The Dippers started the policy years ago when they realised fans from Norway and Surrey would pay a fortune for seats, so reduced the ST fanbase by attrition. We are on the same path.

Just think, if Ehrling was paid 'just' 27 million a year instead of 28 million, we could have frozen prices for ST holders for years.
Yea I was just talking about this season when inflation was very high. The majority of businesses try to make price increases in line with inflations. Thanks

The club knows who goes to games, they can administer this
Like it or not the club want more and more newer (tourist) fans and if that’s setting aside tickets for the more desirable games for them they are going to do it. Theyd have little or no hope trying to do it on their own. That’s why city encourage supporters to join an OSC a sort of back door system in getting tickets.

That’s all well and good, but set them aside for home games. Away tickets should be the preserve of genuine supporters.

Join an OSC in Chicago or wherever but don’t be getting given away tickets

The match at the etihad is an away game for them

Loyalty points are for away games not home games really

We may have one game every other season at home that goes to loyalty points

Every away game does

It’s a joke to actually support the abuse of the fans who have built up points to then go, sorry you have 22k points but Chad here fancies Utd away

Fuck Chad and fuck whoever responsible at the club for doing this

So how do we get a breakdown of how many tickets each branch gets for away matches and how they are allocated?
If the Crete branch info on page 10 is correct then branches with say 50 members should surely be getting approximately 10 to 12 tickets for the Derby?
I don’t think that happens.
:-) JMHO and Curiosity. :-)

There’s more and more branches set up every year but we are told the OSC still only gets the same allocation is still the same so a branch a branch could have asked for 8 and got 8 5 years ago but this season may ask for 8 and may only get 5. Branches are allocated tickets then each branch will have their own rules how the give out their allocation

But Chad is taking a ticket from the OSC pot not the loyalty point pot. Ok if he doesn’t get given the ticket someone in a local branch may get it but it’ll never be given to the loyalty points

However, those pots are getting smaller - more tickets are segmented for staff, friends and family, sponsors, hospitality, etc. Which means the trickle down to the pot for points is getting smaller.

Therefore, the points allocation ought to be increased, and an easy way of doing that is to say to foreign OSC's they can apply for home games only.

It's an awkward one as there's the argument that OSC's have been the lifeblood of support for years, but that doesn't mean the one's which popped up within the last ten years should get the same access to tickets as those which have been running for donkeys.

I do somewhat agree with most of your post. Like I said to another poster there’s new branches popping up all the time. So say the OSC get 300 tickets and there was 100 branches 5 years ago that’s 3 tickets each now there’s 150 branches with 2 tickets each some people from. 5 years ago are missing out on an OSC tickets pushing them in to the loyalty points pot.

There are some overseas branches running a lot longer than UK branches that have been travelling home and away for years so it’s unfair to tar every branch with the same brush. A new branch can’t also set up today and ask for away tickets tomorrow they have to wait 6 months or a year not much I know.

Away games for hospitality are balloted so no guarantee of getting them
Really though, seasonal hospitality should be treated the same as a regular season card holder in that aspect. They should receive their 190 points for the season, and if they want away tickets they can buy them the same way everyone else does.

I've said this so many times, but paying more doesn't make you more loyal.

In the eyes of the club it does as the platinum racket wouldn’t exist otherwise.

I agree with you on what the club thinks, but it's completely ludicrous.

I work with airline data and I can tell you that generally people who fly Business or First class are spending a lower percentage of their income than someone flying economy. This is because the people flying Business and first are usually loaded.

Same can apply here. People buying seasonal hospitality are likely to be loaded so are probably only spending a small percentage of their income on it, however Gold and Platinum members are spending a much higher percentage of their income as these are usually working class people from Manchester.

Club clearly have a very skewed view on what loyalty actually looks like

I agree. I have lost interest to a degree as I don’t do away matches now and wouldn’t pay that platinum fee out of principle so been left behind now. I know people went to Arsenal based on how much money they were prepared to pay. They didn’t win ballots let’s put it that way. It will be the same for all our big games.

Great point. Domestic supporter club should get zero.

If you are that great a supporter you should have points or a seasoncard.

Take their 20% and ballot them. Also pull through should be restricted to a certain number a year.

I've not really got a dog in this fight as I can get my own away tickets 99% of the time but just to confirm you want to take tickets way from OSC's as the people (if they're that great) in there should have points or a seasoncard and then ballot them exact tickets to people who have also not got the points or a seasoncard?

Seems a bit of a backward way of solving the issue that only pops up for 3 or 4 games per season
