The fact that we had Fernando and Delph coming on when the game needed to be won speaks volumes. Poor subs and a very odd time to be conservative.
Sums up the whole season in one game. No luck, Silva bashed without a booking, hit the post twice, def pen not given, fair goal ruled out.
Shit depth, shit subs, shit officiating, shit season.
He did the exact same thing in the 2-2 game against Arsenal. Brought in Zaba when we were looking for a goal. If Nacho has any sense he would jump on the hoffenheim move, pep has no plan for him.

Nah I disagree with that, we have got so good at keeping the ball we take it for granted, since when are Arsenal happy to let the other team have a the lions share of possession? Exactly never... the ball was in their half for so much of that game you can't say we weren't the better team. The stats flatter them because most of their chances came from counter attacks that started in their own half, that says it all for me. Our goal came from a counter ironically but that's neither here nor there we were passing it around in their half at will they were as defensive as I've ever seen and Arsenal team.66% possession and exactly the same number of shots on target as Arsenal. Most of the possession is slow, sidewards, backwards crap.
Even if the goal was allowed the outcome would have probably played out the same.

Lots again blaming the officials, I agree to a degree, we have been royaly seen off on lots of occasions, but we continually miss golden opportunities, which even my 6 year old could score.
I can't wait to listen to the press conference for this.

I rarely, if ever blame referees or their assistants for a defeat, but today they were absolutely fuckin shocking! It's not like it was just one or 2 contentious decisions they got wrong, it was several which contributed to this shit defeat!
The last time I saw officiating like this was when the ref didn't turn up for my son's under 9 football match and the oppositions manager stepped in. He was coaching his fuckin kids at the same time as refereeing the match which not surprisingly descended into utter chaos.
Today we were brilliant and in total control of the first half, but I feared the worst when we were still level at 30 minutes in. Silva going off changed us. We just seemed disrupted somewhat when he departed, and never exerted the same control over the game.
My worse fears came through when I saw fatigue setting in for us around the 70 minute mark and I think Delph's fresher legs should have been brought on sooner. Sterling looked out of sorts and seems like a confidence player who needs to be playing more regularly. The worst case scenario for us was losing this game after extra time with ManUre looming on Thursday just a point behind us.
Positives: Kompany got through OK, Delph looked useful when he came on and our defence held up OK in the main.
This summer will be a seminal turning point for us. After the last 3 years and FFP stunting our progress long enough for for the rest of the PL to catch us up and allowing Spurs & Chelsea to pass us, I hope all of Pep's detractors see how far away we'd actually fallen by the time Pep arrived last summer.
I've seen enough to be happy to give Pep another 2 seasons to reverse our fortunes. Our keeper situation needs to be rectified and there are the futures of Yaya, Kolarov, Zabs and probably Sagna, Clichy and Fernando to be sorted out too. Pep has nearly had a full season in the PL to realise this league isn't the cakewalk he's used to and he now knows his squad inside out.
It is what it is & I'm fuckin gutted about today's result, but I will keep this season in perspective and keep my head too. As for that ref and his shit assistants, someone needs to hunt them the fuck down, and shit down their fuckin necks, the fuckin set of thieving bastards!
