It's funny cause it's true.........Oh well at least we can laugh at the rags #bertforever
You only doubled your money - they started off about 8/1 outsiders?I shouldn’t admit this but I had a bet on Arsenal qualifying and doubled my money. We just didn’t turn up.
Let’s sign a true replacement for Kompany and get that defence shored up.
Can you PM me the article please?Interesting article by Sam Lee in The Athletic going over the failings in this game and more generally. Nothing earth shattering but he nails a lot of the issues afflicting us right now. He poses the question about how we will change it for the CL but leaves it open.

I have iOS. Please copy and paste me the article via PM if you’re feeling nice (;Rather than do that you could look up the Bypass Paywalls thread as you could then read every article :)
What I mean is we're effectively in pre-season without the pre-season training when we normally don't usually hit our stride until the later friendlies. We are a precision bit of kit, and it shows more than most when we're off colour. Even when we've dished out 4 and 5 - 0 thrashings, we've been giving the ball away so much more than normal. Obviously, our defence is the least cohesive part of the team right now.What do you mean by pre season rusty as with the amount of games we have had recently, rusty isn't a term I would use
Thanks for the paste. I see it’s already gone now. I pasted it in my notes app bc I figured that might happen. The forum doesn’t allow copy and pasted articles like before IIRC.Rather than do that you could look up the Bypass Paywalls thread as you could then read every article :)
Since the restart, some obvious errors haven't been corrected by VAR. As far as I know, we're the only club to have a penalty awarded then overturned by VAR.As bad as we were yesterday, if we're reffed to the same standard as A-pen-a-game-United we get the Sterling pen and 1.0 and whole game changes.
Pep Guardiola: "What these players have done is incredible. But we lost an FA Cup semi-final. You have to play 90 minutes, but we played just 45. In the first half everything was sloppy, it was not the right rhythm for this kind of game, to reach a final." [via
@ManCity
“The question is how many chances we had vs how many chances they [Arsenal] had. Possession is a part of the deal but in itself is nothing, it is how many chances you create through possession..."
“In general we were quite good but (the defeat) was not about this, it was about us not being there in the first half. We were not ready to play an FA Cup semi-final.
“I am not thinking about next season. We had two titles to fight for. On Saturday we lost one but we have another one and once we finish we will be able to think about the team
I just don't get how a team like ours who have won countless trophies approaches such an important game with this mentality. It isn't the first time this season though which is why we have lost nine league games. At times we have meandered through games thinking we are so good we will just win. Football is unforgiving and if you go into a game half baked you will suffer. Pep will know the culprits and root them out at the end of the season.
Well he couldn’t have done much worse...Pep did a great job talking up the normally flappable David LUIZ clearly MOTM In my opinion Could he not have done the same with our own maybe Gabby Just chatting to a fellow blue who seems to think Eddie could have done better with both goals anyone agree?
Agree. We had the memory of the very easy 3-0 win in the mind.
Hopefully he will have the culprits fresh in his memory when it comes to transfer dealings. The priority this summer has to be the defence.
We tighten our defence and we improve immensely. We will always score goals it's leaking soft ones at the other end that's the problem. We have spent over 200 million on it and our best player was 6 million pound Vincent Kompany. Maybe we should employ Hughes to recruit players as he brought in Kompany and Zabba for peanuts.
We do have some problems elsewhere and need to add some quality but there is no point to that without a solid defence, so this seasons window is all about strengthening at the back. 2/3 new defenders.
