Nothing to do with United then? They've only had a small net spend since 2006 but have won plenty. Arsenal, on the other hand, have a negative net spend of over £30m since that time and have won nothing. In 2006 you finished 24 points behind Chelsea and even 15 points behind third place Liverpool. Next season 21 behind United. Apart from 2008, you've been well off the pace. That's not anyone's fault but Wenger's. You've been happy to settle for a poor fourth most seasons. If Liverpool hadn't blown up at the same time as us and Spurs started challenging for top four then you'd be in trouble.

The reason you've won nothing is that you've not invested properly in the squad (though Wenger hasn't been stopped from doing that by the board). I know that David Dein is horrified at the way Arsenal have been run the last few years. That's why his son is shipping all his players (who include Song & van Persie) out. Once those two go it's back to square one for you.
 
Well well well...Certainly caught a big one with this thread...I just knew that the gooners would be out in force on here...

Bitter...Not at all....Arsenal were the deserved winners yesterday...but any Gooner who tries to take the moral high ground on our owners investment seriously needs to take a look at there own history...

How did they buy Bergkamp,Henry,Pires,Petit,Vieira,Seaman etc etc.....

Keep on filling your cars up gooners....Oh and paying £1300 per season !! YCNMIU

It wasn't so much a celebration of beating City, as it was a celebration of proving a point to Nasri.

He promised he would sign a new contract, then demanded a move to City. Not one week after signing he's talking shit about the club and fans. Clichy didn't, and Toure certainly didn't. Nasri wound the fans up by saying we had no passion, said the club didn't have as much ambition, etc.

True or not, you just don't say that to the press. He got what was coming to him.
