Arsenal fans celebrations.....

Arsenal deserved their win , and probably the only team this season to actually outplay us , the 1st 25 minutes proved they are still a quality football team. There supporters on the other hand are very bitter towards city , and quite understandable , we have taken players from their club and we have taunted them with comments like "feeder club".
You cant help but admire their philosophy as a football club and the way Wenger plays the game , but unfortunately money is the only deciding factor in the modern game , maybe money doesnt by class (Shrek is a prime example , he and his mrs will always be chavs) but it will buy trophies and happiness for the foreseeable future.
Arsenal arent a threat anymore , so why berate and taunt their supporters , we should channel all our vitriol to those plastic cockney rag bastards up the road .

The reason you haven't won anything is not because of Sheikh or Roman, it's because Arsene fucked up when he had a great crop of players and all he needed to do was add 1 or 2 top quality signings to them every summer and you'd be the team to beat now, but he point blank refused and steadily he's lost all your best players.

If it weren't for RVP you'd be fucked this season, and if you replace him properly, you'll be spending at least £15-20m to keep you in competition for the top 4, instead of not needing to replace him because you'd spent that money 4/5 years ago when it needed spending to get you over the line.

You fucked it up, no-one else's fault but your own.

Quite a few contradicting statements in that comment, but I wouldn't even begin to point them out , as the irony is clearly lost on you lot

I find it amusing that Arsenal fans are now shouting the odds. It wasn't long ago they wantedthe likesof Koscienly, Walcott, Song and the likes sold, and for Wenger being sacked. As someone who lives in North London, I confirm they are the most fickle fans you could ever come across. It probably reflects that a lot of them used to support other teams, such as Barnet, Southend, Palace, Watford etc.. Even a lot of season ticket holders didn't bother going to games when they were on a bad run. Although they have started to return in the last few weeks.

Even an Arsenal supporters organisation were formally debating whether or not they had confidence in the Arsenal board. They havecertainly piped down in the last few weeks.

Fickle to the core.

Let them have a few weeks of being in the sun. It's like a holiday for them. As a Blue, I'll enjoy many years of sun bathing.

A very fair assessment . Possibly the most sensible reasoned argument ive seen in a while . I agree.

Though I think were still in the same position , and if we add a 3 or so more players to add depth we can be just as competitive as the mancs. Call me crazy (which no doubt you will)

Just a quick question for the Arsenal apologists on here; what do you make of these comments by one of your ''celebrity'' fans''?

Stop being a dick???

now that is a cracking enterprise the owners have going there, 57,000 weekly mugs prepared to dig deep for no success or even a modicum of trying to be successful. Unless you counting qualifying for the chumps league as success.[/quote]

You lot have a strange sense of logic:

1) you take the piss out of the fact our fans pay the highest ticket prices in the country - has it ever dawned on you that without the inflationary impact Abramovich and Mansour have had on players wages the level of ticket prices would be lower across the board?

2) you deride us for having no success - you are one place and 10 points ahead of us in the league. You were already 10 points ahead of us after 5 matches. In other words the worst Arsenal team in 20 years has won as many points over the last 27 matches as the best City team in history.

You have won 1 FA Cup in 40 odd years and are about to lose the league title to your local rivals. Those of you spouting arrogant tripe on the back of those facts never ever deserve to call United fans arrogant again.

Apologies to the sensible majority, but some of you still have a small club mentality. On the evidence of the performances your players put in at the Emirates over the last three years since you won the Abu Dhabi lottery so do they.

09 - 10 Arsenal 0 v Man C 0 - one of the most negative performances I have seen by any team in years,

10 - 11 Arsenal 0 v Man C 0 - as above. City parked the bus and got lucky AFC hit the woodwork 3 times.

11 - 12 Arsenal 1 v Man C - a negative City side played off the park.

Contrast with how Arsenal played at the Etihad for the corresponding seasons ( 2-4 defeat, 3-0 win and 0 - 1 defeat). Every single time we came out to play football the right way.

Some of you act as if you already have achieved something courtesy of your windfall. You haven't. Until you do I suggest some of you learn a little humility and to accept there are football clubs in this world who deserve as much respect as Mansour City 2009.

Sorry to rant.

Your spot on. Arsenal deserved to beat us and their fans have evey right to celebrate. Its just the saddo element of their support who seem to think that they are somehow more morally better than us that grates. One of the biggest reason for the inequality of finance in the premier league is this idea that the top 4 get so much more money than the others. Something which Arsenal whilst never winning it have taken full advantage of.

Sorry to correct you here, but we have won the Premier League 3 times.

You have a point about the inequality in finance, but that goes back a lot further than the Premier League. There used to be the self styled big 5 (Liverpool, Everton, United,Spurs and Arsenal). Those clubs were wealthier than the rest for a variety of reasons, but not to the extent that clubs like Forest,West Ham,Derby or Villa couldn't build competitive teams.

Even though I support one of the original big clubs I think the Premiership and Sky have done more bad than good for the English game as a whole.

What I can't understand is when City or Chelski fans use it as a moral justification for what they have done since their respective takeovers. Mansour and Abramovich have made it even more of an impossibility for the majority of clubs to enjoy any degree of success.

The emergence of City and Chelski hasn't really hurt United or Arsenal. United still win stuff and we are still up there. What the Arab and the Russian did kill is any remaining aspirations the rest of the clubs in the league had. They have also caused wage inflation which has been fed down into ticket prices at the expense of all football fans.

But it was OK for you to do it when you were one of the wealthy clubs I suppose?

Dickhead

I might be a dickhead, but at least I understand basic economics. We generate more money than any club in the country bar United. That suggests we are one of the wealthy clubs by the definition used by any business in the world.

I'm not looking down my nose at anyone and I said ''good luck to you and Chelski''. We had money invested into our club in the 1920s and 30s. Ever since then we have managed to remain there or thereabouts without a penny of outside investment.

Chelski won't be able to do that.If you can, then fair play to you. Only time will tell if City end up like Blackburn or like Arsenal.I think our setup still means we will remain a bigger club than you, but I didn't come here for a dickwaving contest. I responded to one of your fellow Blues calling us classless.

Cheers to the fair minded City fans in the thread who could see the celebrations for what they were.

That's because you are classless!!

All you do is fucking winge on about how much other teams spend and then wonder why your players leave! Then you give out the most vitriolic abuse to those players who have left, without once conceding that the reason why they left is because you have no chance in winning the league and won't for the next 10 to 20 years.

You are a team that is content with finishing fourth!

Oh!! You also buy every other teams best young players Walcott (£10M); Chamberlain (£12M); Nasri (£15M) etc and claim you have brought them through yourselves.

The trouble is that when those players don't win anything in 3 or 4 years then they will leave.

We buy them with money we earned rather than handouts. Then we develop them. Thats how football clubs are supposed to be run. I believe in the welfare state, but I wouldn't accept someone on benefits looking down their nose at me for earning money through a paying job. I think you and me just have a different definition of what constitutes classless.
Tell you whats classless, hundreds of your fans singing UTD UTD after the game, big ground full of small minded spoilt pricks.
