Are you really bragging about how southerners earn more, so can pay more for football as if that makes you better fans? Wow. Secondly, 90 clubs? Completely shocking ignorance. How did the likes of Fulham and Wigan get in the Premier League? Rich owners in football goes back to the very very start of football. It's not a new phenomenon. Your own club, finishing 5th, almost certainly got promoted through the bribery of Norris - who was not short of a quid or two.gooner6729 said:Your ticket prices are low for two reasons. Firstly you'd struggle to fill your ground if they reached the painful levels we have to put up with. Secondly you don't rely on football income to fund your team. 90 out of 92 professional clubs, from Barnet to Arsenal and Bury to Manure, in this country do.
The reason you are part responsible for price inflation is that you have driven wages up. That has a trickle down effect which affects all clubs.
Its not only City. Its Chelski, its PSG and its the insanity at Real Madrid where tax payers ultimately bail out the club while others go to the wall.
Its not your fault the Sheikh picked you instead of Everton,West Ham or Wolves and I don't blame you for enjoying it, but for a set of fans who have seen as much shit as yours you lot are surprisingly blind to realities.
Problem for this argument is that we are but one club in dozens that compete in the Champions League and all have to pay top wages. Even if a team cannot field a team of superstars, most Champions League teams can afford to pay top wages to at least one player. As long as football is a game of many players and many teams, high wages will persist due to the basic laws of supply and demand.
You're blind to logic mate, oh, and your own history and that of football in general.
