The Bayern Munich model would be the one I'd like to see at City and that's the one we appear to be following. They make the bulk of their money through the commercial side of things whilst ticket prices are kept relatively affordable. But, they are the only German side which is a force in Europe and the reason for that is the money honey. This gobbledygook about building up through the ranks etc. is just nonsense. Even teams with players who come through the ranks must spend big wages to keep them - and that has nothing to do with City.
