The Arsenal fans who posted in this thread have a really funny way of perceiving things.
First of all, to the Gooner who said the Chelsea owner is a crook... No, he isn't a crook. Like him or not, Roman Abramovich isn't a crook. I know his ins and outs and I don't think people appreciate being falsely labeled as crooks. You can get yourself sued for saying such baseless accusations in public so my advice to you is you keep these thoughts to yourself in public places. Perhaps you can get away with these accusations online but you wouldn't in the real world.
Second, Chelsea have the capability to become a financially sustainable football club. They're in London afterall, I'm sure it wouldn't take that much for them to attract revenue. That's how Arsenal did it.
I don't know why Arsenal fans are so confident that Chelsea will always be smaller than their club. Is it because of the 60,000 seater stadium you lot have? Guess what, Chelsea are going to build something incredibly close to that size in the coming decade. You won't be the only club in London to brag about having a big stadium. Ten years from today, Chelsea and Tottenham will both be able to attract the same number of supporters. Until this day, Chelsea have a larger international fanbase than Arsenal and have branded themselves in ways that would make Arsenal's financial schemes look ancient compared to theirs. They might have a sugar daddy right now, or whatever you'd like to call it, but they're reaching a point where they no longer need a sugar daddy. It's an added bonus to them.
They're 3 trophies away from being the fourth most successful club in England, in terms of trophies. And that's not very far away from Arsenal's tally. You lot better be careful because by 2022 they'll most probably be the third most successful English football club, the most successful in the capital ala London and quite possibly the only Londonian club to win a champions league trophy. They can win it before Roman enjoys his summer in Russia in 2018. You lot wouldn't come near a champions league trophy for the next decade or two, however.
As for Man City's owners, they're here for the long term. Man City owners are building a city within a city. Their ambitions to build world class training facilities and possibly a new stadium for City would go unmatched by the red and bitter half. Your wishful thinking makes you fantasize City's owners leaving during your erotic dreams. But keep dreaming, just as you do about lifting trophies.
