if you can't handle losing a game and a bit of banter, then football is not your game
Agreed , but there's no need for the racial overtones in the gooners post.

Your spot on. Arsenal deserved to beat us and their fans have evey right to celebrate. Its just the saddo element of their support who seem to think that they are somehow more morally better than us that grates. One of the biggest reason for the inequality of finance in the premier league is this idea that the top 4 get so much more money than the others. Something which Arsenal whilst never winning it have taken full advantage of.

Not a good start. How about your former criminal, Uzbek part-owner who is closely associated with a vicious human right abuser? And your clueless majority shareholder whose money comes from marrying into Walmart? Still, let's gloss over that.gooner6729 said:The Arab at City has more of a long term plan than the Russian crook at Chelski did.
You clearly don't understand either FFP and what the owners are trying to do. They are building an infrastructure and are putting in place business plans that see us become self-sustaining in a few years. So you're right that the Sheikh can't subsidise us. However, the increase in revenue from regular CL football plus the increased commercial income that will bring, should at least double our income over the next 3-4 years. Plus the amortisation charge on players, our second biggest expense after wages, will decrease significantly in that period, even with a reasonable net spend. The wages will also level off, at a slightly lower level than they are currently (maybe £25-30m). There's going to be a big kit deal announced shortly I understand. We'll still show losses for the first two FFP periods but the available offsets should see us through. By then, we should be home and dry financially.gooner6729 said:He won't be able to subsidise the team to the same extent once FFP kicks in, but they are building an infrastructure. That should keep them competitive, but personally I can't see how it will be enough to keep up with Arsenal and United in the long run.
I would be interested to hear from City fans with a good knowledge of the plans how this is supposed to be achieved. I know about the Etihad sponsorship deal, and I think City will get away with UEFA's investigation into it. The Qatar World Cup shows that FIFA/UEFA will bow down to Arab cash, but in the long term I cannot see them getting away with stuff like that.
