Has a premier league team, even with 10 men, ever had less than 12.5% possession in a half? Most of that would have been Raya falling down all the time and holding on to the ball for 20 - 25 seconds despite the six second law. Embarrassing for any team, let alone one who wants to win a title.

Yep. Points like this are what can make the difference at the end. Sometimes you have to grind it out when things aren’t going your way. Judging by some of the comments on here some fans seem to forget that we’re not going to dominate every game with 10/10 performances across the board. Maybe that’s the problem, they don’t remember anything different.
Arse definitely deflated at the end. That’s their takeaway feeling from this game and the opposite for us. Last minute goals have this effect like nothing else.

To me, their reactions after the full time whistle say it all about mentality, Erling was a star getting into their heads with minimal effort, plus we stuck by the old adage of “If you can’t win then don’t lose.”

The intent is to disrupt play, to create a version of the NFL ‘timeout’, where his players can have a drink and then get new instructions while the feigned injury is ‘treated’.

Well guess what you gooners, karma came back to maul you in the 98th minute.

I’m not sure whether anything can be done about his players dropping like flies, but it is definitely not good for the game.

Watched MOTD last night and I think Pep maybe missed a chance to drop Haaland on the edge of the box for his shooting ability, the crosses in were never going to work because he couldn’t get much power on them with no run in, had they dropped Erling to next to Diaz he could’ve been shooting it would’ve given Arsenal another problem, do they go out to close him down and leave space or allow him to shoot from outside, he’d have been far better than Diaz obviously. I still think we should’ve been overlapping to the by line and firing low and hard even a deflection could have gone in.

Didn’t think City had enough width, Doku and Savio needed to be stood on the touch line which they weren’t and made any areas the ball could go into narrower. We never got the quick run off the back of the full back going to pull it back which players like Bernardo and Gundo are normally clever at doing. None of our attacking players came out of the box to draw anyone out with Arsenal more than happy for Dias and Akanji to have the ball.

I thought our wide men should hug the touchline more and try to stretch things. I would also have had Doku and Sav swap sides but I don't know if that would have made a big difference. Arsenal would still have made it difficult for our players by adapting their movement and positioning a bit. That might have creating space on the opposite side but unless you can ping balls across the pitch accurately, it's still difficult to find spaces or get behind them.

Pep clearly considered various options from his post match presser comments but in the end went for perseverance and it did pay off. It was a war of attrition.

Has anyone heard about the supporter, don't know if he's Arsenal or City who was knocked unconscious where the City fans walking from the South Stand/CB stand which is where I was coming from meet the Arsenal fans exiting the stadium?

He was hit, fell on Ashton New Road and cracked his skull, he was motionless and blood was pouring from his head, the Police on horses attended and moved everyone away, it looked so bad but not seen anything related to the incident.
