Stood up well overall and looked compact and hard to beat. Offering nothing up front and the few chances we create we fluff our lines.
Bernie and Rodri with the defence played great. Foden anomaly and Kev off the boil with Haaland.
The whole team looks laboured in mind and body. In previous seasons, we win that game. It’s just not coming easy for us, not free flowing.
It looks a step too far this season which is completely understandable. Kova and gvardiol looked good. Doku is a work in progress, not sure he has what it takes to succeed at city. He does one part good and one part bad.
Overall, I’m not going to criticise or start crying. The last few years have been exceptional. A downturn was always going to happen.
Villa next, we need to watch we don’t get dragged into a top 4 race.
It’s not over but it’s equally looking tougher to achieve.
On arse, thought they did what they had to do which is camp out and low block. They don’t look like champions to me.
