Arsenal (h) post-match thread

It sure didn't feel like a PL game.
Black Lives Matter was a great sentiment.
Hope Garcia is OK.

I found that really strange, To me it feels wrong playing football without fans, It felt more like a pre season game.
Anyway I thought we played really well considering it was our first game back after a long absence, Only for Leno it could of been anything.

It was a lot better than some of the Bundesliga games I have seen but probably only because City were involved!

Some misplaced passes etc but generally a pretty good performance. The extra subs do help us due to squad depth. We were able to bring Fernandinho, Rodri, Bernardo, Foden and Aguero on and Sane was still on the bench. Typically we needed the rule to allow one more sub too!

Foden should be starting ahead of Silva already in my opinion. His effort levels all over the pitch give us a much greater balance than when you have De Bruyne, Gundogan, Silva.

FA Cup and CL the priority so hoping Pep just builds for that. Although we must beat Liverpool when we play them.

Needed to shrug of the rusty legs for 25 minutes. Than it was simply easy and controlled. Think Arsenal had not a single shot on goal as well why we scored 3 that could’ve been 5 or 6.

Garcia did great so I hope he is fine. Otherwise the usual performances to be expected from everyone else that was on the pitch. I probably only remember this game for the empty stadium, and the necessary obligations before it started while it was pouring down. With all this I think the players handled it very well.

It's a professional sport. It has always been all about the money.

No one out there is playing or managing for the love of the game.

Not strictly true, while for some it is all about the dollar, others do have a genuine love for the game,

It will always be better than the Bundersliga games, they are hard to watch whether it be with fans or not. People throwing their dummies out as German football was barely watchable will mostly be the people who didn't watch it before.

Bearing in mind they haven't had proper training for 3 months and the sharpness will only get better I though it was excellent. Would be interested to see the stats on running etc to see if there was much difference to a game with fans there. I got the impression that the lack of atmosphere was the thing giving it a pre season feel rather than the football.

Overall a huge success, congratulations to the club and all involved for all the hard work and effort to ensure that football safely returns.

That was shite. I mean sure the team played well but football in a morgue is pointless.

injuries were guaranteed in these games.

big mistake bringing it back, but it will have everyone being tribal by weekend and not talking about the tories.
That was ok,
The morgue, was a requirement.
Injuries in every game are almost guaranteed.
Right time to bring it back.
Political comment wrong thread.

Did anyone hear RedNev actually say something pretty funny.

They were asking where Spittyman was and then nev replies ‘who cares?’

Truest thing he’s ever said.

Then they commented later when they saw him and said he looked like an idiot or wally. Made me laugh.
Can't believe they let that Scouse 2hat wander round unsupervised
