Arsenal (H) Post match thread

IFAB Rule Book: 12.3: Sending off offences include physical or aggressive behaviour towards a match official.

If it is deemed as aggressive he will be banned. I think it was and I think he will.

Edit: What could save Aguero is if the FA are allowed to retrospectively ban a player for something that obviously involved an official at the time. They can't say they didn't see it.
Aggressive? Haha! Fuckinell.

Aggressive? Are you joking?

I thought it was an amazing performance from all today. Could we have found our new Vincent? He was brilliant and man of the match Walker immense. This game gives me confidence for the rest of the season. Quite on here tonight I think we won. Enjoy blues everywhere.

We are also missing what a poor decision it was. How could she not see he would out of play when it hit him? Right in front of her?

is there actually any point in linespersonmenwomen with var?

thing with linesmen that always gets me is how they always give a soft free kick if a team is playing keep ball in the corner, every time

Hmm, surely can't be deemed aggressive? Physical, definitely.
I'm struggling with your last bit though mate?

Back to the game, thought Dias and Ake were really good tonight. Looked more assured at the back than we have of late. Bernardo was great, and Mahrez and Sterling looked threatening. Aguero was sharper than I expected too.

Overall, not a vintage performance but nice to see us graft out a result without two of our best players.

Usually retrospective bans come from actions that the officials haven't seen. The officials have obviously seen this so can the FA retrospectively ban him?

There's a good chance he won't be banned, thankfully. If the FA stick to their own rules:

In order for The FA to take retrospective action it must first establish from the match officials whether the incident was ‘not seen’. If they confirm they did see it then in almost all cases no further action is taken.

She didn't make a fuss either, so all should be good, but it wasn't a clever move imho.
Yeah, she seemed to give a thumbs up to the ref which suggests she wasn’t too affronted so doubt she’ll put in a complaint. Already a media clamour for action to be taken though.

It wasn't aggressive, but it's a silly thing to do, if she had made a fuss then he'd be in trouble, she didn't because she is actually a decent official, and probably realised her decision was a mistake, I'm sure she'll watch it again and see she made a mistake, and the match report won't go against Sergio, as common sense will prevail.

It is, but I honestly don’t think you can say that was an aggressive gesture. It was stupid though. He probably will get banned for it anyway, sadly.
I disagree Ric if aguero gets a ban for that then that sums up the bias that absolutely exists in the premier league it’s laughable that its even being talked about ffs,why are they not highlight the diving of the arsenal players all game or the token yellow to arsenal in injury time, after foul after foul yet we had 3-4 players booked and possibly only cancelo deserved his ..
