Really happy how we dealt with the 2nd half hardly give them anything and controlled the game really well big shout for rodri after getting a early yellow was really disciplined and shown what a fine player he is.

If they are complaining because Sergio put his hand on a female assistant referee that’s all wrong. She fought for equality and therefore has to accept equality (not that she was the one who complained) Sergio would have put his hand on a male assistant referee as well. It looked to me as if he was apologising and she accepted it. It can’t be one rule for one and another rule for the other! The only difference in a male and female assistant referee should be separate changing rooms!

Good win that, and the clean sheet was more important for me. Ake & Dias look like great buys to fit into our squad. Very happy to get that result. Besides the Leicester game we aren't in the worst spot so far this season with a lack of pre season and all the other factors.

a bit like efforts to tackle racism often focus on things like the John terry case (eg. Did he specifically say “black ****” or just “****”). It’s the subconscious racism (and the unequal opportunities that follow) that is more widespread and dangerous than the bigot who mouths off. It is very easy to tackle the obvious but not the subconscious.
