Arsenal post match thread

We got what I expected. Nothing. Can't keep a clean sheet.

Personally i don't give a shit about clean sheets, as long as we score more.
But we ain't doing that. We seem to have lost all our attacking edge.
Goals change games and in the past we've deflated sides by banging in the goals.
Must admit i have to drag my memory for the last time it happened.

If you think Arse were the better side please explain why their support were shitting it almost all the match - they knew something you don't and that is arse were not the better side.
We dominated the game - take a look at the stats
we missed two golden opportunities ( one in each half) to score and a penalty not given-it is true if you don' take the chances you don't win and win we should have.
it was plainly obvious who was the stronger side to all who watched so ffs give your head a wobble - the league is never won at Christmas whatever the shitehawks who call themselves 'experts' might have you believe.
COME ON CITY SILENCE THOSE DOUBTERS
and a merry christmas to all my readers!

Mate, i wouldn't presume to know the inner workings of a gooner, these are the same tossers that thought shawcross intentionally broke ramseys leg 6 years back. Doubt they have gotten over it even now, with the aid of instant replays.

They had better chances, they defended FAR better, in fact they were far more efficient in both defense and attack. If you have to resort to pointing out the nerves of their fans, and rely on stats when any superior stat can be explained away easily by the fact they scored with their first two shots...its a pointless exercise. Of course they sat back on two goals, of course any fan would be nervous if a wonder strike makes it a one goal difference with 10 minutes to go. Doesn't change the reality of the performance difference. The only top side that wouldn't sit back if they were 2 goals ahead against strong opposition is either barca, or possibly bayern.

As for the stats, let me ask you this...do you think it was a pretty even match before they scored? Basic footy mate, in fact this game could be a poster child for the "stats don't tell the whole story" argument.

Its not your fault mate, but i explained my reasoning more than enough times already, so i'm not going to repeat myself ad nauseum every time a fresh face takes issue with my, once again, UNBIAS comments.

Sorry you don't agree, and a happy christmas to you sir.

It's obvious Arsenal created the best chances of the game for anybody who watched it live or on television.

We gifted them two goals through poor defending when we didn't man mark and left too much space between the player with the ball and the nest pass.

They had three other clear cut chances in the second half before they fell further back and we got some better possession in the last 10 minutes of the game.

We deserved nothing from the game but it wasn't the complete massacre that some pundits made out.

It was a performance from a side not high on confidence ( we haven't been for much of the season or at least for most of the past 12 games ) lacking a cutting edge and mentally not where we must be if we are going to win the league this season.

Last season after 17 games we were 7 points better off than we are now and defensively while not where a side wanting to win the title needed to be a lot more secure than we are now.

We have accrued 14 points less from Rnds 6-17 for the same period in the past two seasons ( over a point a game ) which shows you how far we have fallen off the perch even by last seasons standards when we clearly only the second best side in the league.

We are massive underachievers in the league so far for a number of reasons including MP managing worse than last season and the players falling below what is expected of them both individually and more so as a team.

Leicester a playing as a team should we are not.

Leicester are just the kind of team to turn us inside out, we will see,
Then again we may wallop Sunderland and the it may look very different

Looking back at the Arsenal game it wasn't the system it was individual players not doing there job or making mistakes, so if we set up to hit teams on the break will we still make the individual mistakes? Will players still not do there job? Bottom line we losing because of the players being lazy or making stupid decisions/mistakes.
