Arsenal post match thread

They was 7 points in front. They finished one point behind. They blew it.

Disagree. They did slide a little at one point but made a really serious bid during the run-in, pretty well matching matching us win for win. It was our unbelievable, invincible sequence that clinched it. The dippers’ points total would have won the league any other season. They didn’t blow it. We were simply too good for them.

I think you making light of our magnificent form during the run in.

To say they blew it, is insulting to both them and ourselves.
I'm talking about them, yes I'm insulting them big-time, I'm not talking about us, I'm not insulting us.

I was talking about them having a 10 point lead and not winning the league.

Hence blowing it.

The conversation wasn't about us being brilliant and winning 14 on the trot, the conversation I was having was pointing out that Liverpool have blown a lead before, like last year.
They dropped points when we didn't. In my eyes that's blowing a lead.
Hope that explains.

Did you watch Niles and Pepe bombing forward in their last game? I thought they were decent, obviously not today, we seemed to stifle them with a short press, like we used to do. It stopped the space in- to out.
Pleased to see Mendy looking a bit sharper. He still needs to get his positioning sorted as he’s been caught out a few times.
Niles and Pepe (Pepe was far more expensive than anyone we have signed) do carry a threat, but Kevin more or less explained that we'd watched those two carefully and worked 'em out.
