It is a no lose situation, if we beat the champions of europe our confidence will be so high itll carry us through, if we get knocked its very much expected and we can concentrate on the league.
We dont have the squad to compete on all fronts and the champions league is just an adventure this season so we might as well meet the best early.
That's pretty much my outlook on drawing Barcelona

Now that we're out of the Group, lets play the best, and experience what the Champions League should be all about.

I don't think Bayern Munich will hold too many fears for Arsenal as you beat Dortmund and did well at Bayern last season.

I was in awe with them after we played them at home, but perhaps I was wrong. The danger with playing Bayern is that they are so strong domestically that they can afford to focus on your game entirely.

If we want easy European ties we should settle for the europa league, the whole point of being in the champions league is to meet the giants of european football, no fear, lots of excitement , whatever the outcome.

This is true and the Champions League is all about those big nights, but I was just a little bit dissapointed that it was Bayern. Again? That's so last season. But we got Barcelona two seasons in a row as well a few years back, so maybe we should have expected it. City-Barcelona will be tasty.

WIlshire is a little bit better then fernandinho and i am not joking and so is ramsey. They are far better going forward then he is and more consistent.

To be fair i think ya toure is better then all three as a all round player.

I will admit toure is bit better at the moment. You can,t deny though Wilshire is a world class midfielder as the first goal he showed yesterday showed. It was harlem globetrotters stuff that.

Oh there are some gems on this thread

We had to let Gooner2 go, being on here was not helping his mental health

I hope we did the decent thing and paid him up to Christmas?

Nobody, absolutely nobody, could be that good and be faking it.

From the Liverpool thread:

Highly likely that Arsenal will be knocked off the top at some stage next weekend/Monday

Liverpool have first crack at Cardiff in the lunch time KO. Surely a comfortable win? Then if they fail, City can do it if we beat Fulham, and on the Monday, Chelsea go to Arsenal.

So there's a good chance Arsenal will be 4th by next Tuesday. That could start to affect their attitude, maybe a little thought at the back of their minds that the good run is over and they're back in their place. That kind of thing has been known to take the edge off people's performances. And especially after shipping 6.

Nice one Bilbo, can't wait to see them respond.

Something happened to Arsenal fans at some point, it may have been the move to the Emirates but as a group they've become some of the worst supporters around.

Booing their own manager after the first game of the season
Booing a player (higuain) because he choose Napoli
Only set of fans to mock and goad whats happening regarding Hulls name change
In that same match when Bentner scored they gave sarcastic jeers, like him scoring made them unclean

and they do all this shit while they've got a giant banner saying "you can't buy class" amongst the most expensive tickets in the country. Clearly you can't.
