Top 4 and an FA Cup would be a good season for us. Anything less would be bad especially if we fail to secure top 4.

I'm hoping City will spank Everton for us.

But you guys were going to win the league? where is gooner16?

That's not something claimed by me or by most Gooners I know.

Early season optimism has been replaced by season end realism.

If gooner 16 claimed wed win the league, then hes at the right place in this forum, 90% of people on blue moon thought their team would win the league, its hardly a stick anyone can beat arsenal fans with, not on here anyway.

Absolutely ridiculous point to make. City has a better squad, a better recent history of winning things and invested wisely in the summer. We were the bookies favourites to win, and rightly so. Arsenal are perennial chokers with a history of bottling it at the business end of the season.
Guess what happened.
City fans thinking they are in with a great chance of winning the league is far more realistic than Arsenal fans, and unlike Arsenal, we are still in with a chance.

Not sure what your point is there, to be honest. City fans, backing City, on a City forum. Hardly surprising. And a bit different to a fan of a club, going on a rival club's forum to ''big up'' his side. When that club then fails to live up to expectations, people will take the piss.

you might still win it but if you don't then the biggest bottlers are yourselves I'm sorry to say. for the reasons you've just said yourself, you had by far the best chance of winning the title this season.

we've been guilty of bottling in the past but not this season. there is a huge difference between bottling it and a injury crisis robbing the team of their best 5 players for months, just at the business end of the league. you can't compensate for that. no team can.

if we had kept most of our players fit, barring the odd 1 or 2, and we still bombed, i would call that bottling.

also i might add, you've also had the best squad for the last 3 seasons and you've one the league once, so have you also bottled it the other 2 times?

Yawn. we have injury problems every year, s*** excuse. It's on Wenger - get a squad capable of coping (been saying this for yeeaars) or modify training methods/recovery procedures to minimise injuries and the numerous set backs.

Youve got great recent history, do you include beating by a championship side 8-1?

If Liverpool win the league, then everyone who predicted city or arsenal winning the league got it wrong. That is the only point that matters unfortunately.
I too said all season that man city would win the league, but it looks like I got it wrong too. Like gooner16. Whoever he is.
I would still maintain that city are the best team in the country, but that went for last season too, being the best team does not seem the primary factor in winning titles anymore so it shouldn't be a surprise if anyone predicted arsenal to win it. If this liverpool can, surely anyone in the top 7 can.

I'd agree we have bottled it a la Arsenal this season, but so have Chelsea.

Oh, and so did Arsenal, except you bottled it earlier than both of us ;o)

Come on Tarquins.

Tarquins will take out Neverton if they win tonight, so come on the Arse.

Is it me or does Carragher sound gutted even though he isn't talking about Candlepool yet.
