Does finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th have any influence on your seeding for the Champion League draw? I know the champions are automatically in pot 1, but what about the rest?
I think, though I'm often wrong and could be corrected, 1st place and qualify through group stages - £40 million.
2nd - £30 million. 3rd -£20 million. 4th - £10 million.
Sorry. You're on about seeding. Don't have a clue. UEFA will adjust it accordingly.

the key to 2nd place is the fa cup final and arsenal will rest players after the united game they need that silverware to keep the fans happy and the game vs the scum is a no lose game for manchester city we only need 1 point from 2 games for 3rd so if united beat them we will be 2nd placed team

I want second. Arsenal fans have been getting giddy about finishing above us. They seem to think that the natural order has been restored. Same as the rags when they celebrated winning the "We were above City for two weeks" cup.

arsenal are just a team of nothingness.every season do fuck all but they know how to charge.
pretty soon they will raid another little club and sign a really fast, young winger who turns out to be another well spoken, injury prone hyped to the eyeballs dazzling transfer sensation...
its all so Peter Marinello with arsenal and its fucking boring.
yawn.

well if you call winning the fa cup last season 'nothing' and maybe winning the fa cup this season again 'nothing' - which by the way might be 1 more trophy then you've won this season - then fair enough. I call it a pretty decent return.

you're also maybe stuck 6/7 years in the past when we signed unknown youngsters etc etc etc, this story is pretty boring. As you will see from our recent signings such as oil sanchez mertersacker debuchy cazorla etc we don't really do that anymore and prefer to buy more established players but no we won't ever stop buying promising youngsters as its a part of the way we work which i personally like, its great buying superstars but theres nothing like buying a promising young player ala fabregas and watching them turn into world class players, which this time round we will actually be able to keep due to having money and hopefully competing for titles.

So you lot are the new Spurs then? A few cups make you successful but you'll never win a league title?

You didn't 'buy' Fabregas.

the word 'successful' wasn't even in my post so you've pulled that out of thin air. i didn't say or even imply that a few cups has made us successful however by the same token you can hardly call potentially winning the fa cup in the last 2 seasons 'unsucessful' either can you?? furthermore you definitely can't call it 'doing fuck all' as the first poster put it, which is what i was replying to.

and really, out of all things you decide to nit pick a blasé part of my quote? i could quite easily have given an example of many young players we brought but at the end of the day the point i made was quite clearly about seeing young players develop into top players and NOT about whether we paid bloody pound notes for them or got them for free. totally irrelevant in relation to what i was actually saying.

I'd call winning the FA cup and fuck all else in the last 10 years a pretty poor return for the money Arsenal have spent on transfer fees and wages.

I was right though wasn't I? You didn't buy Fabregas. Or Bellerin, for that matter.

Will this be the 6th season in a row that Arsenal have finished below us? Back in your box Wenger and take your bunch of bottlers with you.

Hahahaha, yes you can have your finishing above arsenal trophy once again whilst we console ourselves with a potential real trophy, you know, ones made of metal that you can actually hold.

Oh are we talking 10 years are we, you didn't specify...why don't we just talk about 30 years then and the fuck all you won for the majority of it....i mean if we're allowed to just pick a timeline that suits your argument...
