Am I the only person to think that Sanchez is significantly overrated? Better than Jesus Navas but not as good as Raheem Sterling. I will view Arsenal as a threat only if they get a midfield enforcer and a vastly improved defence.

can't believe people still trot out this line about our defence. not just an improved defence, but VASTLY improved? come on, for the last 2 seasons running, barring the odd couple of freakish games, our defence has been amongst the best in the league. our goalie won the golden gloves (or whatever its called) for the most amount of clean sheets, kos is brilliant as is mertersacker when played together. defence is the least of our worries, all we really need is a midfield hardman as against the top teams arteta and flamini will struggle. with walcott fit and now sanchez our need for a world class striker isn't so big now either.

Against the top teams it was found wanting quite a few times last season. It was more than odd couple.
Anyway, I still think Arsenal could be a big threat next season. Providing they can keep all their big players fit.

It's ok defending well against mid -table sides like the rags , but to ship 5s and 6s against your direct challengers for the title ( or just top 4) is a cause for concern.

it was 3 games out of 85+ over 2 seasons (including champions league games). The rest of the games against the top teams, including every top team that came to the emirates, were very tight from what i remember. yes its something that certainly needs sorting, but those 3 games was down to the whole team not just the defence.

I think the point is I'm trying to make is, Arsenal always look a bit vulnerable to me. May be it's more down to having insufficient
cover for that defence. Players like to get forward but do a Yaya when needed at the back.

I'm actually looking forward to watching him in the Premier League - we'll see if the hype is justified. But don't underestimate Sterling - the best English kid to come through for years. He was a big driving force behind the scousers second half run to the title.

Arsenal have an amazing defence. An amazing midfield and amazing strikeforce. Amazingly, they won the league by December. Amazing team.

We have finished above them in each of the last 4 years. Goodness knows how as they are so.....amazing.

I've got more than a few scouser mates pal and all laughed their tits off when I told them what you said. It's just not a comparison you'll see for yourself next season. Also sterling won't be half as affective without Suarez, neither will Sturridge.

Khederia coming through their academy as well!? Because of course, we all know Wenger doesn't agree with teams who use financial muscle to structure a team..

There must be a designated room next to the manager's office at the Emirates stadium marked "Enter - The Academy" and once inside, Arsenal's latest big money signing will see a placard of " Doing things the right way" before heading for the door marked " Exit - meet manager."
