Arteta must have watched that today and thought “ FCUK me, ive made a bad choice here”

Sympathy Level zero

Mikel Arteta took the Arsenal job after failing to get assurances from Man City that he would be Guardiola’s successor. Following Giovanni van Bronckhorst's new role at the club, Arteta asked for guarantees that he was next in line. No such promises were made. [@MullockSMirror]

Reasons to be hopeful for Arsenal? I didn't see their game live but heard they were unlucky and the Gooners on MOTD were impressed.

Arteta looks like he might have made a good move after all. Arsenal fans really do have no choice but to back him now even if the league table looks bleak.

I do actually think that for the first time in a long time they might be on the start of a long road back, however, Arteta needs some results to sustain fans and players belief in his work.

We were good first half, played with high tempo, high energy, more aggression, looked somewhat structured & organised & forced Chelsea to a change in personnel & shape after 30mins.

However with the personnel there we struggled to sustain it over the 90mins, & with the injuries we have we didn't have a lot of options off the bench to change it.

It bodes well for the future, but there will still need to be a fair turnover of personnel for this type of football to work.
