They've just been debating whether arsenal could go down on bt, I don't remember the same conversation when the rags were 3 points off the relegation zone

Arsenal need a win tonight. Arteta wont want a relegation battle with the likes of Ozil in the side.

They have a lot of the raw ingredients for a very good side.

Aubameyang is world class, Lacazette is a very good second option, Pepe was massively rated in France and looked like he deserved it today, I guess we'll see if he can be consistent. Ozil was one of the best playmakers of his generation before his hibernation and looks like he might be waking up. They also have Nelson and Saka who don't have the same quality but do have genuine pace, and will be effective on the counter

Torreira is a good pivot, Guendouzi has a lot of box-to-box energy and works like a dog, Xhaka is fine when he's got support around him and if they can get Ceballos fit and on the pitch he's one of Spain's most promising young players.

The defence will remain a problem this season, but David Luiz has looked really, genuinely good the past 2 games, and maybe he just needs a good structured manager to be good for 4/5 games instead of 2/5. Sokratis is passable for a top 4 side and Leno is easily good enough for anyone. The fullbacks are shite but Tierny is out and Bellerin has been injured.

I think Arteta has taken on a very good job here. Loads of upside just from fixing a couple of disillusioned players and instilling some spirit. No expectations, easy scapegoats if it goes wrong.

They've got a better squad than United, Wolves, Leicester...I think they'll end up 5th.

Bet they lose their next game ;)

They might well do, but I would bet it'll be like the Chelsea game where they are really good for most of it and then a few individual errors or some organisational mishap costs them.
