It won't help or hinder them. We are better playing exampled by today.
Agree 100 per cent. Momentum is always crucial. If we beat Brentford we will be flying for the Arsenal match. Piling the points on the board is the way to go. The managers who are looking for excuses pass their negativity onto their players. Arteta will be pissed off that he can't build on their 5-0 win today.I’d much rather play a game again soon while we’re on this winning and scoring run when we have January interrupted with FA Cup weekends.
All about momentum!
I bet Pep is the much happier of the two managers about Arsenal’s game being off. Arteta has just been building some momentum himself there and now they have to wait, while we’ll come into the game with another under our belts.
Plus, as I’ve said, we’ve got a very light January. Swindon a week next Friday night, no midweek Cup semi, Chelsea, no midweek Cup semi, Southampton, FA Cup 4th Round… and that’s the whole of Jan and early Feb.
I think you’re overthinking it. The Arsenal game is in 6 days, not 16! It’s a pretty normal gap between games and not something that is going to disrupt their momentum.I’d much rather play a game again soon while we’re on this winning and scoring run when we have January interrupted with FA Cup weekends.

Luis Enrique…Arsenal do seem to have improved this season under Arteta which leads me to ask this question...
Supposing next season Arsenal do really well, like a top 4 finish, could City look to him to replace Pep?
Just asking because I dont see an obvious replacement for Pep without changing the philosophy
Fuck off! I’ve got my ticket plus my hotel is booked. It’s a piss poor show if we can’t manage our squad through the next couple of gamesWe could do with our midweek being postponed....
Luis Enrique…
1. Not nearly experienced enough.Arsenal do seem to have improved this season under Arteta which leads me to ask this question...
