Yeah, not like BT to try & create controversy & debate. They are murder for it. AFTV will do the same.

To be fair, its an early kick off, on New Year's Day, in the middle of record virus numbers in a Pandemic.

Still, we do have a problem with empty seats a bit. Worst thing is its usually season ticket holders that can't be bothered turning up, rather than seats that can't be sold.

Seems like the same conclusion that many on here have arrived at when discussing the " empty seat syndrome " .

Don't hear reference being made about it where other clubs are concerned though by the media.

Thought you were good enough to win today in terms of general play. Probably the best performance we’ve come up against but you’re right, stupid decisions by your players cost you.

You’re easily the 4th best team in the country imo
As a long time Blue, part of me finds that soooo arrogant, but being realistic and fair it's probably true. I may argue that they play better football than Chelsea though.

Taking into account that Xhaka was sent off at the Etihad, gave away the penalty today, and was at the head of the bunch of Arse players surrounding the referee suggests that perhaps making captain wasn't such an inspired move by Arteta .

I have always though that he is a headless chicken with the intelligence of a rocking horse, and his performance todat did nothing to convince me otherwise .

I don't regard his performances as being the influence which a team needs as he appears so often to be the cause of chaos and conflict.

Anyway thank you Granit for the penalty which got us back in the game, you total fuckwit !

Xhaka isn't captain though. It was Aubameyang, now its Lacazette when he plays, Xhaka only took over when Lacazette was subbed.

We do need to find a new full time captain though, as its highly doubtful that Aubameyang & Lacazette will be here past the summer.

My mistake GG .

I retract the comments re his capataincy but the rest remain .

Yep, agreed. He has qualities in midfield that we lack when he's not playing, but at the same time off the ball his lack of mobility is a major factor & is part of the reason why he often gets caught out in ridiculous situations like today.
