Believe it or not, I think most are just enjoying the ride. No-one expected us to be here this season, we've not even been in the Champions League for 6 years, so this is all just an unexpected surprise.

Now we're in this position, of course we want to win it, but I think most appreciate we are up against a machine.

You Arse fans are all the same! You didn't expect it cos you don't give new managers time to build. Arteta was going to be toast if he didn't get top 4 this year.

I know several of you muppets hating on MA and I had to school them on him emulating what he learned at City and he had to change up the team mentality.

100% if he didn't acquire our cast offs, he'd have not got where he is now. Our former players have sold what we do to your team and what it takes.

You'll be back to fighting for top 4 next year as your next purchases are likely to unbalance you as you don't have the director team that we have.

I expect our local Scum to be back as proper title rivals, next year.

Enjoying the ride? Are you trying to kid yourselves or us? From the position pre Liverpool and the football you guys have played this season, I would be gutted to miss out not turn around and say I have enjoyed the ride

Hopefully the Arsenal players will be nervous in every remaining match and make mistakes that'll be punished (can anyone in the rest of the league even punish gilt edged opportunities?).

For the fans they'd be shitting themselves no matter what (if they are anything like us) until it's mathematically impossible not to win the league. And if they don't win I could understand them feeling very positive about the season once they get over the initial gutted feelings. We were there too.

I will just say this as a possible mark of difference between the levels of Arsenal and City right now:

If we were in a tight title race and were up 0-2 at Anfield, only to go on to draw 2-2, narrowly avoiding losing outright, it wouldn’t feel like a point gained to City players, coaches, staff, or fans.

It would feel like 2 points dropped, because it would have been.

Ah the "just waking up to see another day is a blessing" safety net.

No-one gives new managers time to build these days. There were many on here and lots of fans of other clubs saying Arteta was out his depth as well, as well as some Arsenal fans. Not me though, I backed him, can check back my posts.

Why would I need to kid anyone, or need a safety net? I've said from that start we won't win the league. I'm actually surprised we are still in the race now, in April, never mind leading it. I think you could easily win every game until the end of the season whereas we won't.

You have the better team, you have the better squad, you have the experience, and you have Ivan Drago up front.

Maybe it was about pre season expectations I feel like this, maybe it's just a sign how far we had fallen, maybe if it happens for a couple of seasons I'd feel totally different. It's not that I don't care, of course I do, I'll get wrapped up in it all. But after years of fight for 4th, or not even managing that, being in a race just now is a pleasure.
