Same feelings here. Though another advantage we have is the experience at this stage.Whether this is better suited to the title race thread or this thread I don't know but I am far from convinced by the theory that Arsenal are feeling the pressure and that it is this that has led them to surrender points in matches in which they have led 2-0 early on. For the first 20 mins at Anfield and the first 30 mins at West Ham Arsenal were positively majestic and showed no evidence of the effects of pressure at a time when it should have been most evident. On Sunday it was WHU who looked to be more under pressure, which was not surprising in view of the danger of relegation, and this may well explain their slow start. I think it was Tolmie who argued that Arsenal haven't actually been playing that well over 90 mins for a while and I agree that this, as we near the end of a uniquely difficult season which is a better explanation than "pressure" - though pressure may explain individual incidents like the missed penalty. I am not arguing that Arsenal have "blown it" and that City will march inexorably to the title. We still have to play the gunners at the Etihad and though Arsenal have some tricky matches to come so do we, and we still have 8 games to win compared to their 7. If we have to win all 8 we would finish with 18 consecutive victories just in the PL - an amazing feat! We still have Brighton to play and we hope we have to rotate to win 2 other competitions! This is difficult but if we have one real advantage it is a striker who can win any match. We have to keep him fit and firing.
But there are more twists to come yet. Only because there always are!
