You on a good ranting mood today, let it all out mate. Empty seats, accents, celebrity fans etc, can have that discussion about every club in the country, including your own (and I'm Scottish, so I think I'd lose any accent discussion). :-)

Doesn't bother me you venting like that, doesn't really provoke any decent discussion though mind you.
A Scot supporting an English club? I thought you lot hated anything English? Have you ever attended an Arsenal game?

Saliba being out for Arsenal is a big deal. He doesn't get the credit he deserves and has had a great season.

He's been brilliant for them not only for his own performances but for how he leads the line. Holding has actually been okay in general for Arsenal, Gabriel and Zinchenko have fallen apart slightly since Saliba's been injured though. Defensively they're not in great shape and whilst I rate Odegaard, Jesus, Martinelli and Saka I just think our defence copes with those four better than their defence copes with our attack.

You obviously don't know much about Rangers fans if you think they hate anything English. I've been to several Arsenal games, including 2 Rangers Vs Arsenal games. I've also taken my son to a City game when you played Port Vale in the cup a couple of years back, got some advice on here before I left. Unfortunately having another baby and the costs stops me from going to as many games as I would like. Would like to go to more games if I could with my older son, in Britain and in Europe, not just Arsenal.

To be honest, the Scottish League had fallen back in relevance that a lot of Scots has English teams as 2nd clubs, similar to what I'd imagine Ireland to be like. There's a wee group of folk from my next town that go to City games a few times a season with mates down there, and they have City mates that come up to Rangers games a few times a season in return. There's fans of Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, Kilmarnock and probably more all post on here, most support City as well as their local team.

More a case of them being 1st teams for most here, our league isn't great to put it gently and the geographical spread leaves half the country without a local LOI club.

Yeah, I was thinking that to be honest, I just wasn't sure if I would be correct is saying that.

Fair play, mate. I much prefer Rangers than Celtic and their IRA agenda

My Scotland team is the Gers, all because the 1st sticker I got for a Scottish team in one of them football albums years ago was a Rangers player so I chose them.

Pretty much every person I know up here has an English team. My best mate only supports Everton. There’s lots of Newcastle fans in edinburgh due to close proximity. A lot of rangers fans tend to like Chelsky. Up here there’s a clear dividing line between National team and club football, especially amongst the Scotland support. The disliking of the English national team should not be seen as a disliking of England. You’d be surprised at how many of the Tartan Army actually live in England.
