Am no tarquins fan but you need to remember that have had a fantastic season. I'm sure in pre Pep times their eventual points total would win the league.
The point is that City have set and maintained incredible standards.
This was their best shot at winning and they know it. Next year they will be playing midweek in Europe and I expect significant investment from some other teams, including ourselves. They have blown a great chance because they don't have the mental strength we have. We are fearless..

He’s always struck me as the most level-headed of the ‘characters’ involved in that station, and it’s hard to disagree with much of his diagnosis. It’s unusual to hear him swear, so I guess he is deeply frustrated because he knows from experience that their board is unlikely to make the required outlay that he thinks they need. The expectations next season will be higher and may well go unmet again.
There was a couple of things he said that you could argue with, but otherwise a fairly passionate account of a poor finish to what looked like a walk in the park earlier on.

Never count City out.

If they win their last two games, they'll finish on 87 pts. Over the period of the PL (31 years this season), that total would have won the title in 13 of the seasons. But only 3 times in the 13 seasons since 93:20.
